A quick way to get into crouch mode. Do a forward roll, then immediately press X. The crouching animation activates a bit faster

one thing that u didn't mention for the tutorial is to dodge, and then go into Turret mode. to do this, just do a normal dodge and in the middle of your role *or at the beginning* and press x+a at the same time. This also works when your already in turret mode, just get up, dodge again, press x+a in the middle of your role, and you will be in turret stance at a different spot.

When you enter the crouching fire mode it's best to think that you are loading an ammo belt or drum, and are therefore not able to fire ALL your ammo. For instance, let's say you want to crouch fire FireS ammo: While you can hold 60 round total crouching fire "loads" only 20 in one sitting (that's the green number). Therefore you'll have to reset yourself if you want to fire more. Generally you won't fire all 20+ rounds at once unless you are fighting something like Jhen or Ceadus.

For nostalgia, I decided to go back to this game and use the Heavy Bowgun... after getting 300+ hours in Rise... and then getting World to play with my friends who have played a lot already because I missed it at launch. Honestly, who even needs muscle memory?

i got a question about the siege mode. when you enter that crouching mode, theres a number displayed under your "green" bullets on the top left corner. what does that stand for exactly ?

Are you sure this is pink rathian armor? If it is what type? The model looks nothing like it.

Also, you can side roll out of turret stance instantly. Gameplay is pretty much greatsword but ranged.

Not "instantly". There is always the moment you spend lifting your bowgun up as you cancel siege mode before you can roll.

Yenrei He doesn't lift it, he just rolls. You do like 'left/right analog + dodge" at the same time.

it auto blocks as long as your not doing any other actions except for walking about

Doesn't really matter, because the aim is does with the Left Analog stick in first-person mode. And in third-person "aim" mode, it's still just using your character's orientation, which is still controlled with the Left Analog stick.

Firstly I have to say, I've only played the demo (which doesn't support the circle pad pro) but what I found to be the easiest solution is not to aim at all and just fire while constantly resetting my orientation with the Ltrig. Any monster hunter veterans, please correct me if I'm wrong

***** I can now say, after having put over 30hrs of LBG after 5 days of having this game. If it is a small monster like Ludroth or Jaggi (or even Great Jaggi), don't bother aiming. But for larger monsters, using the 3rd person aim is good for mid to close range to aim at certain parts of a monster. The camera controls if you do not have a circle pad pro are a pain sometimes when first starting but I find them easy enough to use
