Tip for using valor cb: after using the shield bash you can press A to do a double sword slash without using the valor sheath. This should make things alot less clunky

another thing on valor CB is you can actally use ultras without using the shield charge unlike other styles, on GU ultras deal x 0,75 raw with 4 and 5 phials and 1,5 x raw with 10 phials for comparison a super deals 0,3 raw and the normal AED deals 0,10 raw also it's probably the only style worth using elemental phials since ultras deal 9,9x3 element damage compared to 3x3 element damage from supers

Guess what, you can do SAED by pressing X+A after doing the valor axe A combo, its great for extra damage when you're left with 1 phial and charge again and do the same thing I accidentally speedrun mizutsune after doing that combo💀

Great video Handi, guess I'll be using Valor CB to get the guild card uses up ;). Alchemy Swaxe is definitely a favorite of mine: the three hunter arts (great on swaxe) mixed with the simplified moveset is fun and easy to play, not to mention the alchemy whetstones and SP levels compliment the Swaxe really well.

I really really like Adept CB , but ones I get a switch with GU , I can transfer my Gen Data to GU so I can test Valor CB. Played CB since release of 4U and I can’t wait to rest it , but Adept CB is one of my favorite weapon Styles in the game. And I would actually like to see Adept LS , I think it was one of the most popular styles in Gen , but is one of the most underrated Weapon styles in GU. Next video : Adept LS (underrated as hell in GU)

The thing I personally dont like about Valor CB is that, as you said, it is less CB; the charging your shield mechanic is completely taken away in favour of the valor gauge, similarly to Rise`s CB, so it doesn't really feel like good old CB from World or 4U. I get someone may prefer Valor precisely because of this, but, while I can appreciate how fun it is, it just doesn't feel like Im playing CB.

Went back to mhgu recently and decide to to a fresh run with weapons I didn't use on my main file. One of those is the CB. I used the weapon some in 4U since it was on of the so shiny new weapons at the time. Didn't get great at using it though. Didn't even know about guard points or that you could charge your shield even after doing most of the high rank stuff. After that I never touched it much. But for this new run I've been enjoying Valor style. Not having to worry about charging the shield and having the phial combo be endless is perfect for me. Got to get better at using those guard points but here is hoping.

Seltas Queen armor is good for both Gunlance and Charge Blade, but it leans more toward Charge Blade. If you're in G-Rank, then G-Rank Seltas Queen armor is really good for Charge Blade until you can make Jho Cena. Jho Cena gives you Handicraft +2 and Razor Sharp; Jho Cena is very flexible, since you can swap out the talisman for any other talisman for the build you're trying to make. In this case, you'll swap out the required talisman for Jho Cena with an Artillery or KO Talisman for Charge Blade. In short; Seltas Queen armor (G-Rank) and Jho Cena.

4:02 this is just straight up lie, its not easy at all to stay in valor mode with charge blade unless you know the monster extremely well and being very aggressive, charge blade is one of the harder weapon to maintain valor gauge because its generally a slow weapon and need actual commitment, so most people wouldn't try to overcommit and risking themselves getting hit, not to mention it need times to build the gauge, its risky and janky as hell outside valor state. Its not so slow, but compared to othee weapons, charge blae is one of the slower one, just a tad bit faster than dual blade. Sns doesnt count since sns stays fluid even outside valor state. Compared to GS hit, run, valord dodge strategy, CB valor need actual skill and monster knowledge just to barely mantain the gauge, if you're a player who prefer being safe, its better to use adept. Unless you spent majority of your time with randoms or friends, its quite hard to keep up valor gauge.

You should cover my first love, aerial IG. another great one is Striker CB, the advancing slash gets a guard point at the beginning of it which is super damn useful. Shield bash is gone sadly, but thats okay because red shield is actually stronger than any other style. In combination with 3 hunter arts of your choice, its a force to be reckoned with. Also, Aerial IG go zoom.

I made a superfun set Nargacuga lance 40% affinity oo- Skills: Crit eye +1 Weakness exploit Crit boost Sharpness Guard up Stamina recovery Works with all hunter arts I can easily fight ex Glavenus and other hyper aggressive monster. Lance have the strongest shield dont worry about the damge a monster can make that set dont care specifically with adept (i made this set originally for adept but it works perfectly for all) u can increase your overall damage with the hunter art for Lance 400+ attack (I forgot the name sry) and still profiting from 100% crit on all weakpoints and the best thing is stamina recovery. U think “why?” Lemme explain. When u in block position u can still walk (slow) but still wile u do the little walk (R + L-stick all directions) u gain stamina back half the full bar with one step and u can spam the Lance run (R + X, A + L-stick forward) with adept that dont use stamina exempt for multi hits are you invincible but u still need guard up to use that in EVERY situation. Just try stamina recovery and guard up with mantis armor and go against low rank rathalos/Astalos/Boltreaver(G2), try block 10min and u know what i mean. Lets go.

The ceanatour(blue crab. I can't spell his name, lol) Charge blade is pretty decent. Good sharpness, reliable raw and not too hard to make( if memory checks out.) Malfestio is a reliable sleep blade, though last I heard the tigrex cb was the strongest for high rank.
