Newer hunters would assume, why he and 2 other hunters would try hunting a Rathalos with yellow sharpness and just regular hunter armor. Then you play gen 1 and realize the slow progression. Playing gen 1 with Freedom made me remember Bherna gal talking about the average hunter gathering and taking a long time to actually progress. And those who progress the ranks quickly with good gear are just one in a million lorewise.

People must play this games (and Dos) to realize the true nature of old school MH is a SURVIVAL game; you have to make ends meet with the resources you have, the gear must be farmed with hard work (if not all planned in advance), preparation for a mission is indispensable and you should always have a backup plan. Overall I think the franchise has moved in a good direction; you can still be powerless, gettin trashed and comboed by monsters but you don't feel the camera or the controls are a detriment (the learning curve is much more gentle). Congratulations btw, the gameplay in this series have been unbelievably slick.🫡
