Hey guys, just a minor correction. Credits to JonahFarc from discord! --------- Wide has 2 shells not 3, and long has 3 shells not 4 Artillery isn't the only thing boosting, sneak attack, and aggressive dodger both work as well Long can actually play charged shell spam and it actually works pretty well right now

Artillery level three increases shell capacity by one for all gunlances and phial capacity by one for all charge blades. that's probably where the confusion came in.

A friend in a local group said it's actually hold+swipe down. And that long swipe down is actually registered as hold+swipe down. Works either way I guess!

I mean, the weapon is only complex if you want to style. You can just take Long GL, and do nothing but Charged shelling. Tap, Hold, release. Tap, Hold, release. Monster dead. Want better results? Add Focus and Artillery. No frame commitment downsides that Wyrmstake and full burst combos have too. On top of that, you have shield while charging too.

You can also just hold and swipe down, immediately after any action (poke/ firing a shot etc)

One play style not discussed here, unless I missed it, is pure charged shots with Long shelling. It's extremely easy to play, highly defensive, and eats Basarios alive.

Just found out that after you do the uppercut with your GL, while it's up there on it's highest point, you can start shelling vertically to hit anything above you

Finally my main weapon in on the mobile. I feel it is a bit OP, but is kinda refreshing considering this weapon is considered the worst in the main series. I heard people killing grade 8 monster with a grade 5 GL built for elemental and artillery, insane.

Nope. Reload and recoil only works for lbg and hbg.
