The best thing about this series is how unabashedly passionate the fans are. These games aren't for everyone but if you "get it" they are just soooo damn good and satisfying. I knew I was going to love it but thanks for confirming ;)

Do you have any tips on how to ”get it”? I tried to get into the series multiple times now and I really want to love it but every time I try I'm put off but the "clunky" feel of it all and how convoluted it seems.

@@amysteriousviewer3772 what weapon are you using? The weapon choice can make or break a beginner's first impressions. Try multiplayer. It's a lot more fun to hunt with other players at first, so you can learn and observe how badass things can get :)

@@amysteriousviewer3772 it's a good question. It might help to start with an earlier one as they are a bit simpler. Or push through the details and get to fighting some big monsters. Once you get into the crafting and fighting bigger monsters it might just click for you. It's easy to get bogged down by the little stiff

@@MaybeeT I see what you mean. I definitely "get" the appeal of the series and crafting my first armour set from a monster I had slain definitely felt satisfying. The problem was that I dreaded going out on another hunt because I found the combat itself clunky, unresponsive and unrewarding. I never really felt like I defeated a monster because of my skill but rather out of luck. I suppose that's in large part on me though and it might just be a simple case of "getting good".

This MH version feels very refreshing. The biggest change is the traveling pace. No longer do you have to spend minutes running only to drain all your stamina and you have to drink ration often. Climbing no long takes forever. Riding on your pet Palamute is fun! Less animation time to perform most action but it’s still there for battling. These wait time to sharpen knife or drinking potion is important part of the game as it makes it more strategic. Without this it will feel like a mindless hack and slack.

This isnt monster hunter its a WHOLE new vibe!🔥🔥 It WELL worth 60 dollars off gameplay alone. And there will be plenty of things to do. Do all village and hib quest, Kill every monster, Make every set and weapon of every weapon and every tree. Pimp out doggos and cats. Play with hunters for sheer fun and helping others level. And of course dont forget the DLC. Cause i bet there adding more monsters. Chameleos already been confirmed for april

yeah I’ve never played this game but saw hella reviews PRAISING world and saw the digital foundry video comparing the two. My main issue is I have the PS5 and am current playing through RDR2 for the first time. Plus I have a two year and full time job. For me I guess it’s mainly time. Is this the kind of game I could enjoy in spurts of 20-30mins?

The best things to me is the talking. Finalllyyyyy. I accidentally discovered if you swig with your wirebug, and press B (or was it A?) In mid air, the bug will stop and hang there...allowing you to hang in mid air for awhile. Way cool. I thought riding the pets was going to be more of a gimmick but they serve so much purpose. Speed. Warning for when something bad is near. So much they do. Perfect game to me. Worth every penny.

Actually, Rise made most of these things so much easier! You can access the item box while on a mission (thus you don't have to worry about forgetting to bring a specific thing); most of the items you need can be easily gathered on the hunt itself, just on your way to the monster; and a lot of old and cumbersome concepts are simply gone. This is by far the most newbie-friendly entry to the series so you might reconsider :)

I played this on the big screen with my mClassic upscaling it to 1440p. It doesn’t sound like a big difference, but trust me, it helps a lot. It cleans up some of the jaggies and smooths out others. Also it makes the colors more vibrate. Not perfect but looks better than before. Cheers!

If you want a hard Monsterhunter game play White fatilis in Monsterhunter Freedom psp origional. If you want something easy play World or rise or tri. If you want historical gameplay play the playstation 2 game. Thats a genuine piece of advice. No one should complain about this new gen MH version as its a completely different take on how it origionally used to be. If you dont know what a shen goren or yamatsukunami is then can we really review the franchise??

I think it was fair since people probably want to know what’s new in this monster hunter game. However, I’m expecting good things from the game anyways, so also want to hear more about how switch handles the game, especially HD ramble. No one talked about that at all. And you gave me that.

I know it is not your usual kind of content but perhaps you would consider doing a sort of how to get started with monster hunter. The skill level for entry is so steep with this game it really puts me off, even though I really like the style and concept quite a lot. I also know (or at least I think I know) that the playstyle differs greatly depending on weapon choice wich might make it harder to conceptualise such a video. That might be part of the reason why I could not find such a video online yet. I trust that you would nail it, but then again I have at least a vague idea how much work that would be.
