Oh for real. I play horn, and my dad and brother play with me. I usually use malzeno horn, and no one ever has to sharpen ever. Purple sharpness forever. Sharpness regen is such a good melody.

I was surprised to not see Velkhena in the base expansion. I thought it’s whole royal ice griffin motif made her as much a given as Seregios for how it fits the the medieval theme of Sunbreak I’m expecting the Metal Raths, Molten Tigrex, the Espinas subspecies (maybe rare species), to come in the subspecies update. I hope the roadmap ends on some big end game superboss the way Iceborne did with Fatalis. Perhaps Sunbreak could end with Gogmazios or Safi Jiiva?

I feel that there's a great chance for Chaotic gore magala to come back for sunbreak due to gore and Shagaru being in the game plus it's a variant and in the update roadmap we're probably going to get a bunch of variants. Also one frontier monster I would REALLY like to see would be unknown because it has the same skeleton of rathalos/rathian so it wouldn't be too hard to put it in and I greatly like it's theme music. The title update roadmap also seems to put extra emphasis on rare species monsters returning as well. I might be inevitably ensnared by the effective trap that is wishful thinking, but I do sincerely hope that molten tigrex is announced to be included in one of the prospective updates.

Imagine a Great Boggi that's just a Boggi with a random drome skull on its head, sort of like a goblin shaman. But get this, he's insanely strong! I mean, I'd imagine a Boggi that's able to take out a drome and wear its skull should be pretty darn strong. Also it has different attacks depending on the skull it's wearing.

Was I the only one surprised that the weapons for some of the new monsters weren't dual-element? Like, Garangolm naturally does fire and water damage, when I first saw his fists I immediately thought the weapons would do both fire and water damage. Espinas does fire, poison, and paralysis. Pyre Rakna does fire and blast damage. Lunagaron and Malzeno change forms. Gore and Shageru are arguably form-changes. The new scroll-swapping and even new skills that effect scroll-swapping. There's new status effects like bleeding, frenzy, Quirio, etc. Like from a game-balance sense I get why they did that; nobody would want to use any other weapons, but on the other hand there is no pvp so that seems pointless. Maybe it would've been hard to program, I don't know. I just thought it seemed strange.

Honestly kinda surprised too, dual blades usually have dual element weapons in most games but not in Rise or sunbreak. Bleeding has never been on weapons, nor has frenzy or other monster specific ailments.

I wish other weapons other than Dual Blades had multi-element. But as far as Dual Blades go, we have... - Khezu - Paralysis/Thunder - Teostra/ Kushala - Blast/ Ice - Espinas - Fire/ Poison - ??? - Blast/ Poison (I haven't unlocked this tree yet) But there should've been a few more and the Espinas one should've been different. - Rathalos/ Rathian - Should've been Fire/ Poison. - Espinas - Should've been Paralysis/ Poison - Garangolm - Blast/ Water - Basarios - Fire/ Sleep - Volvidon - Fire/ Paralysis - Narwa - Dragon/ Thunder And also, there should be a way to apply Venom. Imagine if one of the Poison weapons that didn't necessarily have amazing stats could apply Venom.

I still want one major monster hunter anniversary game with world's gameplay style that has every flagship(and variant/subspecies of them) and all three black dragons in it. (With all three Fatalis of course) That along with good stories, doesn't need to be deep but I'd love for them to have one where each Rank is more representative of the place you have in the world. Say low rank is about a rampaging Rathalos that is screwing up the local ecosystem and scaring the lower monsters and making fellow apex's be extra aggressive, which is making things extremely dangerous for a small but singular village. Have high Rank be about a Rampaging Gore(perhaps a few even) that is fucking up multiple ecosystems due to the frenzied virus, and screwing with a whole small kingdom and guild. We end it with Shageru (or perhaps a Xeno?). Finally have G-rank be about saving multiple nations if not the old world continent from all these elder level threats, each one destroying a small village, just like the one you start out in. The reason behind them fleeing being Fatalis of course. But also have all the ranks be connected. Say the Fatalis went on a rage because it's nest and Rathian was killed by some humans, but the humans were doing so out of vengeance because they were a part of one of the destroyed villages of Gore, only shown through a similar emblem being on one of their shields or clothes, or perhaps even a flag they had brought up to the nest before being burned by Rathalos, where we can find the skeletons of them in the final battle. With Gore since he's just a baby Elder Dragon, have him and the other elders that come down (and elder level monsters in G-Rank) be coming down from a specific mountain which is where many Elders reside and have it be due to Fatalis. Connecting all those ranks together in subtle ways. But that's just me dreaming.

I would actually like to see a bundle of lower to mid teir monsters return. Give us all the monsters that have small variants in Rise as well as a few others (Qurupecko, Gigginox) in a bundle. That way we get a bunch of lower tier monsters instead of all endgame super tough monsters. Plus with the afflicted monsters the lower tiers would offer more choices. Not saying I don’t want high end, tough monsters, just one of the updates has a large introduction of lower tier monsters.
