i doubt this comes to switch2. Series S is a 150+watt machine. Nintendo's portable thermal limits are way less, 15-20watts. you cant beat physics. This game will be designed to have a minimal spec and i seriously doubt a 20 watt mobile chip will be the base model.

I would not count out the switch 2 yet. While the witcher looks like shit on the switch, it sill made it. Same as borderlands 3, doom. Those are some heavy hitters. I know it's not the focus but I'm sure they don't want to leave millions on the table. If the switch pro is like a ps4 graphics wise. They def could hit spec

theres too many articles on the screen for it to scale down to mobile, you look at the objects on the screen of other mh games, or even other games in general and its a clear upgrade not just because of the fidelity, but because of how many moving objects there are on the screen, its part of why this game isn't coming out on the anniversary year even tho theyve been planning this entry for years, usually with a new console comes a new mh shortly afterward but not this time, and also why it wont be on ps4, because it'll draw everything from the new consoles to their max and they'll still look quite primitive compared to the pc version side by side, the RE engine has great scalability and is very familiar to the capcom developers which is why they left the unreal engine for Rise, but this will be the biggest step theyve taken on it so ye, it wont be scaling to any mobile hardware whether its nintendo's notoriously underpowered cheap gpu hardware which has fantastically optimized games or otherwise, it will be far too demanding to get anything that looks even barely decent looking with the kind of demands their going for with monster hunter wilds, and thats a good thing because the switch limited even rise compared to world so now they get to make something special with wild which isn't as hampered by hardware limitations and looks and feels truly next gen..

I’m still not entirely sold on the idea that the locales will be a fully interconnected world like Tears of Kingdom. I think we’ll still have a hub world but the locales on Wilds will be bigger and more open than what we’ve in World + Iceborne and Rise + Sunbreak.

It's obvious that there will be a hub. I also makes sense lore wise because not all the quests are on the same continent. Take a look at the MH map. I think that each continent will be its own open world

Technicly ecosystems dont need to be large. A puddle houses a ecosystem of Microbes. A small cave could house A ecosystem of Mushrooms and other fungi. A rotten tree trunk could house insects and other small creatures. So world doesent necesarily have to be gigantic to house multiple ecosystems
