Also the beta test was not the demo it was only there to generate hype for a short time and test the servers. The actual demo will likely have the flagship like rise, world, and GU before it.

Why farm items, or do you mean learn material spawns/map layout. Nothing transfers over from the betas or demos. Usually just a unique cosmetic for participating and in Wilds case character creation so you can hop in instantly instead of remaking a character.

And our octopus is just a monster that has been affected by that flame instead of it being the source? Quick follow up from me after I watched through the trailer again our octopus friend produces normal looking flames meaning he either uses black flames when he is enraged or we are looking at something that caused the black flame and the guy who had the flashback remembers a tragedy unrelated to the monster?

Uh... My guy... That's a reach. I like the enthusiasm but, it's just a nickname for the monster. They don't have a name for it because no one has hunted one probably because they are afraid of it. We will likely give it a name upon the first hunt. If there was some kind of frenzy virus type effect that would have most likely been touched on. I think it's called the black flame because it's black and is on fire sometimes.

I think it's possible to have an Arkveld demo fight without giving too much away - given how much monsters are interacting with the environment, and even mid-tier monsters are getting nest-specific attacks, fighting him in the windward plains with a limited timer and the objective to repel him rather than kill him could be a completely different experience to fighting him to the death on his home turf.

Nah. SAED spam dragged down the weapon as a whole by making the majority of its kit obsolete in favor of one big attack over and over again. This change encourages the Charge Blade's true identity as a versatile shifting weapon that morphs and flows throughout the fight. People who really loved the SAED spam playstyle can just play Greatsword if they wanna spam big hits.

the ice map will be the last , cos as i planned it they would reveal one locale per month until February ... some i guess one more will be shown in January , and in Feb b4 release we will learn about the roadmap and 1st expansion ... Than i bet we will get a total of 2 demos and one more beta test cos they are some stuffs they need to fix ... we will see but i am 100% exepcting 5 main maps cos the new maps are not as detailled and full of things compared to world ( but that's because i guess it's interconnected ) and i do not see them release a new MH with one large map less than in base MHW. we can have demos and a 2nd beta, i'm quite sure the demo will be offline and with just companions like in Sunbreak if u need them ) ... this time it's a bit different and i'm quite sure also that the first demo will not have the flagship ... maybe the second one near release ..

I dont get how itd be cold biome next unless they went full minecraft and just have random biomes connect randomly which is just lazy design. Wont make sense for a cold biome to connect with any of the shown biomes so far. A desert that becomes grasslands, connecting to a rainforest of some sort, connecting to a volcanic canyon/wasteland settings. If theyre going to make something "cold" connect with that, itd be some sort of highland region. But seeing as its seamless, idk how much immersion it will take for them to implement a highland region hunters can seamlessly climb on.

Im pretty sure they said that not necessarily all of the biomes will connect, just a few that make sense. And they may not all be in one line, I could see them connecting it to the other side of the oil well basin (the basin is in or through a mountain and on the other side of the mountain is a snow area)

It can possibly be connected to the windward plains, solely because in the night part of the map terrain gets frozen over so maybe if we get further in that direction we might encounter the biome. Little off topic but the largest deserts aren’t even hot but instead cold environments. Considering it’s monster hunter, they might make that connection.
