Base defense wise sure, but good skill/set bonus doesn't come until like mid game. Yes I use drachen set until somewhere like mid ib 😂

Zanny finally giving charge blade a try??? This is where the fun begins baby. My friends tel me it’s the most complicated weapon but I’ve been a cb main from day one and all the combos are second nature to me. It’s literally the Swiss Army knife of the game and getting good at guard pointing everything in the game is the best feeling in the world.

​@@SanestTowatry getting your phials to a yellow or red charge before loading it up. The amount of phials that was charged in would determine how long your shield's going to last. From experience, 1 phial only loaded onto the shield lasts for only about 60 secs. So getting at least a yellow charge, or whenever you get red, is the best case scenario. And then its all about phial management and the famous guard pointing.

Hot DAMN I feel great after trying this, my hype is higher than I’ve ever been for this game rn ngl 💀

When you use longsword try to use the Rt+b attack to get your charge levels up, and after every 360 slash or destiny star slice use Rt+a to enter a stance, where you can either press y for a double slash which if landed gives you constant spirit meter regen, or Rt which does a big slash which has i-frames, and if the monster attacks you during these i-frames then you get more damage on the slash and it doesn’t consume a level of your spirit meter. With these moves you can flow seamlessly from one attack to the next while being able to dodge monster atttacks and increase your spirit gauge level. Love the content Zanny, keep it up!

Hitless run, God, do I feel that. I’ve picked the game back up again after putting it down for more than a year. I never got past Alatreon, didn’t really see the big deal in that, my strategy, set, and build are still just fine for me. Then I realize it could be better, because I can max out my Earplugs Charm to rank 5. …if I beat Arch-Tempered Velkhana… Yeah, I keep getting my shit kicked in, can barely touch her to do enough damage because it’s been so long since I played. So “the bosses are doing a hitless run” is so damn true for me too. For anyone curious, my build is the “Constant Pressure” build, or the “Train with no brakes” build. 1: Safi’Jiiva weapon with the Vaal Hazak trait on it and the Health Regen augmentation (I’m a hammer main, personally, or use daggers when I need speed) 2: Gold Rathian Helmet 3: B.V. Vaal Hazak Gauntlets 4: Gold Rathian Coil. Chest and Greaves, dealer’s choice. (I use the Buff Chest and Garuga greaves personally) Vaal Hazaak Regeneration and Gold Rathian Divine Blessing Secret (after putting 2 Protection decorations on somewhere to get the full 5 levels) makes you damn near immortal, and will definitely cause you to build up a surplus of Mega Potions and healing items from not needing to use them NEARLY as often. After that, the decoration priority for the build is to tailor the decorations for each monster you’ll be fighting until you can laugh at *any* elemental effect, or negative status debuff, and *anything else* that would stop your character from *always* being able to remain moving, and stay in the monster’s business as much as you want. What it lacks in raw DPS, it makes up for by never giving the monster a moment where you’re vulnerable to attack, or needing to break off the engagement for more than a quick dodge, dash, or Superman dive before going right back in.
