Very nice to hear that there is an option to hide helmets if one likes that. I tend to like to keep my characters head visible in games unless I happen to find an especially nice looking helmet. I'd rather keep my carefully crafted face visible over some basic pot helmet and such.

The last Monster Hunter game we got with a story was MH4U. Comparing that game to this game is absolutely mind blowing. If I knew nothing about monster hunter, I wouldn't believe you if you told me the last game was on 3ds. The evolution is just way too big a jump! It's unfathomable!

Aquanex2 MH Storytelling is one of the weaker aspects of the game imo. It was just simple made without deep characters or dialogue. But MH don't need it anyway. The gameplay and the atmosphere of the fights are the things I really take a eye on.

yeah, the lack of a grand story didn't bother me at all, but they were very good at building up monsters, especially in MHF2 when you encounter the Tigrex in the 2nd or 3rd quest -completly unprepared and a noob at the game (I started with MHF2)

But after seeing the character in diff. angles, lighting, etc. when playing through the cutscenes, u think to urself "This doesnt look good. No way in hell ill look like tht for hundreds of hours!" then u delete ur file and start over. :P

Man...words can not express how long I've been wanting a MH game like this. They've been using the same engine since the first PS2 MH. To see it revamped and overhauled like this almost brings tears to my eyes. This is the Monster Hunter I've been waiting for. Rejoice MH fans! Javan Bowen the gameplay is a bit different, not COMPLETELY different. It still looks and feels like a typical MH. I won't deny how dope the combat is in XX. But we need to let MH return and stay with the consoles before getting to that level, which is inevitable. Also, shooting while moving with the bow gun is specific in this game, so is drinking potions while moving. So yes, I'll choose a better looking MH that plays like the originals over a rehash with DLC.

Wow, looks amazing! I've never played a MH game before so MH World will be my first experience with the franchise, I'll be getting it on PC, so cool that there's a PC release! This CC is great, the time of day/different backgrounds to preview how your character looks is an ingenious idea that hopefully other games adopt! Such a simple yet very important aspect for CC that I'm surprised more games do not have a similar feature. It's no uncommon to create a character that looks good in the CC to then find out hours into the game under certain lighting conditions, ends up looking bad.

Not quite sure if it's already mentioned in the video but are some parameters changeable mid-game? Like in previous MH, you can still change the hairstyle among a few things. BTW, I really like how informative (and FAST) your vids are and you've always been my top MH resource since pretty much the first MH video. :) I just have one suggestion and I hope you don't take this personally...your intro audio is too loud then the voice over suddenly shifts to normal levels (which ends up being too low because I already turned the volume down because of the intro audio level). You don't have to change it though. Maybe it's just me and I'm just being picky. Still gonna watch every MH vid on this channel. Thanks! :)

DeoxTew Japanese MH games never got setting for western languages. That's one of the reasons why they take so long to come to us.

Umi Hirose You probably need to import an english version of the game. MH usually don't got any other than asian languages for the version in japan etc.
