Monster Hunter: World - The n00b vs. The Great Jagras

Well, since this is a new game and I am new with the series, do not expect much but laughing on my blunders ;)
Feel free to give me pointers if I am doing something wrong though

Why am I not surprised you started with bow. Best early advice is to find a weapon and playstyle that works for you. Similar to your take on vocations in DD. You'll find your own identity and refine it with practice. Bow has some cool moves that you aren't using but you'll figure them out. Most important is figuring out enemy patterns and tendencies then using tools to stop them when you know they are going to run. That's universal for any weapon.

Hahaha, I actually love bowgun. And since I met Diablos even more so. Bowgun is just one big priceless joke with that one. And I like Kinsect Glaive a lot as well

wh1sper 123 every time I use a new weapon in this game, it's my new favorite. They're all good. Light bow gun is cool for its mobility. Heavy bow gun is cool for its ammo variety and it's melee attack will put anything on it's ass. Can even stun lock some big monsters with it.

Hmmm, light bowgun has ammo variety as well. But, the real fun part is how damn thing plays. I doubt I had ever seen gun as fun as this one in any game. All the weapons I tried so far don't come close in fun factor. Wyvernblast is just priceless.

wh1sper 123 it is fun. You should mess with the bows combo evade move. Press evade after a shot and you can reposition yourself while charging next shot. Also if you evade and press triangle, you do a leaping melee attack with an arrow. Looks awesome but, if you do it right, you mount the monster.

Knew about the charged evade as I am doing it constantly with bow. Didn't know about the other though. Thanks a lot for helping a n00b ;)

I like the style of your video and you killed the big guy as well. I do have a Kinsect but how does it work? I went to the smith and created a Insect Glaive and got a Kinsect as well. I Improved the Insect Glaive but I cannot equip a Bow in addition.

You either hit enemies melee with R2 or you hit them ranged with R1+R2 to mark the body part and then send kinsect to gather extracts. Tail, body and head give different colors and if you collect all 3 you do more damage, have more defense and gain real speed with glaive. State of your extracts is under your stamina, the 3 squares under stamina. If they are white you're empty, otherwise they each correspond to colors.

You can only equip one weapon at a time. But, I think if you return to camp and enter tent you can chose different weapon.

The beta was the first time i ever played a Monster hunter game and I fell in love with the charge blade

I sadly only got it 3 hours of play before demo timed out. Haven't tried charge blade yet. It is still in future for me.

I'm terrible at this game. Had to go back to Dragon's Dogma for now and get some self-esteem back.
