I fought Diablos for the first time, I kept fainting, and failing over and over. My friends offered me help but I didn’t want them to fight my battle for me. It had become personal. I found out Diablos is weak to ice, so I created a frost bow. I made a ton of traps and flash pods. I went back, it took me almost the entire time allotted for the quest but Diablos and I danced back and forth exchanging blows. This music allowed me to stay focused, and keep my eyes on his movements. I can’t honestly say it felt so good to watch diablos fall, and know that I did that and overcame the challenge on my own.

I feel really bad for Barroths after the beta, It was the monster I chose to try all the weapons out on and see the changes after I did all the quests and killed the Rath and Diablos. But I must have killed it around 20 times, It got really sad since there walking animation has the head down, I felt like I'd killed a family of them and they were just getting progressively sadder as they couldn't find brothers/sisters/children.

DemolisherBPB I think lore wise you only hunt a monster once and if you do the hunt again you just reliving that moment again... So it make sense that people freaking out about one monster and not the other 20 of the same monster that you hunt afterwards..So it's fine you just killed the same barroth just on different timeline(?)...

It's called beta but it really was just a demo and MH always had demo releases shortly before the actual release, only difference is this time we had more monsters available to fight and access to a preview of the character creation/ gear selection. That said it's the first to actually have a time limit.

Don't know if you know or not, but if you tap the charge button on bow (R2 or R1, I have it set for R1 but the default is R2) in succession, youll go through the charge levels. One tap would be level one charge, the next one would go to the next charge, so on so forth. Basically making power shot useless now.

I hate this thing more than any other monster in this locale simply because of it's habits. He typically goes to that watering hole where you meet the first Rathian to "muddy up" and he won't leave that spot sometimes, and moving around there is difficult. And even chasing him is a pain because of the obstacles you have to cross to pursue him when he can just jump over them. Me being primarily a melee hunter (more specifically Glaive, Great sword and SnS.) I have a very hard time trying to get him pinned down. Maybe it's time i adjusted to marksmanship?

So like have pinned him down now? One of my tips for his water and muck habbit is to equip yourself with aquatic expert en muck resistance. I wouldn't stick with elemental weapons as he changes them thanks to the mud. So you are better of with para or poison. Just attack the legs and tails and try to mount him often if you use glaive or SnS. With great sword... it is not my kind of weaponn. I should start trying it tho. The new tackle makes the weapon alot more interesting.

Don't go complaining about easy shit And complain about bazelguese or every fucking elderdragon I take 5 mins to kill low level barroth and 10 for high rank
