I had a MIL who was a TRIAL! I finally divorced her lousy self-centered, wife-battering son and left. I had to take his truck keys up to her (he was in jail....DUI..beating up someone in a bar). She was awful to me in my whole marriage and on the 'key trip' I finally told her "The absolute BEST THING about this divorce to me is I never have to look at you again!" I moved to Hawaii, and never heard from them again! She got married to her husband at 12..pregnant, he was in his mid-forties, besotted with her still, she weighed 400# and the first time I met her I knew why I had never seen her before the marriage! I dreaded going to their stinky filthy house and she wanted all of my salary (higher than hubby's) and I refused which meant it was war from then on. I kicked myself mentally so many times for marrying a man I knew so little about......he was supposedly always on oil rigs. I never remarried, and am so happy with my life! ALOHA to those jerks!
