meh. most of these ones are 3d stuff. I largely prefer trucks like Super Pete, Big Pete, Lucas Oil Stabilizer(litarally a Peterbilt truck cab) and Rollin' Thunder, Boogey Van(a FREAKING van!). most of the time, we see pickup trucks, SUVs, 3D things and sometimes pickup trucks with big engine covers to make it look like somewhat of a van(like Ice Cream Man or Backdraft. sick look that one btw). I always like unusual looking monster trucks like truck cabs, vans, busses(Higher Education, yup). it breaks that unwritten rule of matching some kind of off road vehicle or 3D bodywork. heck, even Monster Patrol takes my vote because it has police lights and a wing

Aside from the lack of sound I'm OK with this. Electric has 100% torque from 0 RPM so we will see even more insane low speed flips and stuff. No more powerband. Hit a ramp wall and backflip? Electric will do 2 or even 3 low flips. just a lot more violence in general. Less smoke though when stuff breaks...

I've never liked themed monster trucks. Why not just have some bad ass trucks instead of making them look like a dragon or a shark. Orange county choppers kept making motorcycle based on other things and they where ridiculous.

I've always thought it'd be neat to build one with barely any plastic body and an exoskeleton covering the body panels and engine parts so landing on its back wouldn't be as damaging. It may look weird but if everything important on top was protected strongly enough, you could essentially roll it on purpose without a worry of ending the run.

isn't that kinda what megalodon was doing? unlike the rest their bodywork isn't functionally just a decal it's actually got enough structure to it for the truck to roll on, even the schoolbus is mechanically fairly similar to all the rest since the "body" is a soap bubble compared to the rest of the truck, even the plastic shells on RC cars are far more structurally/mechanically important...looks like bakugan and a couple of the others were also actually doing something along those lines with the extensions to the side in the center and I think the weight distribution? probably to make flips and the like more viable? but it would also be great for rolling all over the place if you can get the hang of driving it like that...would also make it harder to keep upright if you balance for that though. honestly the engineering in these things is amazing but every time I try to get into it so much of the rest of the stuff around it turns me away.

@@evernewb2073 Yeah that's what I was thinking with how good the drivers are. They could practice enough to purposely roll it over and keep going. Also if the cage was made with a ridge down the center it would always tilt to one side to let the wheels hit the ground again. That way it couldn't end up like a turtle on it's back.

This is back in mid early 2000s when monster jam was fun. Cause the new style trucks and way of racing and freestyle was still new and the wild west when I was 9 in 2001. And ability to do soap wheelies or front wheel moon walks takes alot of practice at their test tracks cause you gotta land just right and then while your truck is piciting on front wheels you gotta shift into revers it's not easy
