Base of a mountain having a gem "vein" that leads up to the cloud hidden peak. ( in line with Jack and the bean stalk ) Would be great for a Dwarven or Gnomish party obsessed with shiny things. plus the size difference would make it even more interesting.

Cloud giants are absolutely my favorite giant, im actually making a video of my own reworking the entire statblock into a fitting, lore friendly cloud giant thats representitive of their wealth. I had a cloud giant prince named Celestius, who saved the party from the cloud giant sentinels who rode in on massive golden chariots (they protect their sky cities from intruders) Celestius in turn made the players become his serfs and fight for him in a gladatorial arena where other cloud giant nobility gather up creatures from around the world an have them fight to see who has the best beast. And he loaned the players his great grandfathers vorpal scythe to show the immense wealth he had.

Going back to the murder hobo thing. The players get to the castle, kill the clouds giants and loot some items. What the players didn't know was that the giants were powerful mages and by killing them they have released the giants from mortal boundaries and now the players are getting harassed by ghosts of giants that take the forms of vicious and awful storms that ravage the lands around them...

Thanks Bill, planning a long term hook with Cloud Giants now. Starting with Ogres and Bugbears working for a Frost Giant that is gathering rare items for a Cloud Giant. Going to try using a Frost Giant riding a White Dragon....again!

Great episode! And timely -- I'm just about to send my Dungeon World PCs into an adventure w/giants. They're currently sailing, and will come upon a roving pillar of water which pulls ships up into a cloud kingdom. There, a couple of rival Cloud Giants have employed/enslaved stone giants to ransack the ships they pull up, so they can present the loot to the reigning Storm Giant. Anyone captured from the ships are imprisoned for food or entertainment. The PCs aren't really a match for any of the giants, so they'll have to use persuasion or trickery to survive...
