On the emporia sub in Olathe, KS @ 11:43 am on 8-2-17. Been a while since I caught an EB 16k stack train and my luck would soon turn when this one in particular because of MOW on track 1 was held up for WBs. So this train had to wait a minute. Then when it came it crossed over and because of it size had to go much slower than normal. During the crossing over a lot of the well cars were swaying back and forth(whoa) and a lot of impatient drivers turned around left. This train surprised me being 5x3x2 considering all WBs run that consist. It was nice to finally see one again. LIKE COMMENT AND SUBSCRIBE for more videos of trains and thanks for watching!

Anyone got an answer for a question fro m a Brit. I've seen trains like this while on vacation in Canada. Awe inspiring, thinking about the physics involved in terms of mass and momentum. Nothing like this in the UK - distances are shorter, as are the trains. I have a query, however. I presume that there is not a crew for each engine (people cost money). How then are the engines connected and controlled, please?

The head end power is multiple unit (mu) connected by wire and some hoses. The distributed power units (dpu) are fully controlled by digital radio link from the head end with miltiple units connected by MU in each DPU pack. The crew is one engineer (driver in British) and one conductor.(don't know what you call them).

KC Railfanning yup. Some of the trains on the Emporia Subdivision come down to my area on the Red Rock Subdivision, which runs through Oklahoma City, and the Fort Worth Subdivision, which of course runs through Fort Worth.
