Kountry Tiger yessir, he was a true maniac behind the wheel. Still remember the old tapes I used to watch and he was running those weird oversized slick tires when the door fell off and the announcer was going nuts lol

DANIEL DAVIS I’m 55 and seen a lot of cool stuff come about in the 80’s. I was at the very first Bigfoot indoor car crush in the Pontiac Silverdome and been loving it ever since. On the other hand, I wish I was 19 again!

T J I’m 40 and fortunate to have watched the first gen trucks. I’m currently in the middle of collecting the 1:43 die cast models of the original monster trucks from the 80’s. so far I have 3. Bigfoot, USA-1, King Kong from green light. I’m waiting on them to release a 1.43 scale of Bear Foot and I’m about to buy Goliath. hopefully green light creates a grave digger soon and Excalibur.

Bring me to tears man, so much history. My childhood right there, I really need to head up that way to check it out. Awesome to see the old Bear Foot truck. I wish somebody would do a rebuild/restoration of the Awesome Kong II with the Allison or Rollin Thunder. Those were 2 of my favorites from the early 80s. Thank you for this amazing video ✌

So awesome seeing the old trucks! I saw that Taurus along with the updated Bear Foot and Equalizer (David Morris driving the blue one) in Providence RI in 1992. Lyle Hancock was driving Grave Digger and hit the wall with his roof. Crashes were kind of a big deal back then! Awesome video!

I have GOT TO get out to Auburn. So much history and so many trucks I never saw in person as I was in diapers when most of them were hitting their stride. Bearfoot looks great! Would love to see a replica built of the original square body version of Bearfoot and someone needs to replicate the original 1979 flip top bodied Krimson Krusher!! Anyone know if they ever finished restoring the Virginia Beach Beast?

I do miss that era, modern day monster trucks are superior machines but the competition is so watered down. Just feels like it's more about the show than the teams and drivers. Awesome video, and now I'm gonna watch Bigfoot strikes again and some Penda points series lol

Aloha Mike!! I LOVED this vid. Lots of memories seeing all those trucks from the past. Exactly the same when I used to watch them race back in the 80s/90s. Nice to see your father in the vid and the classic Black Stallion body. My son and I love watching your videos together reminds of me and my dad watching monster trucks back in the day. We cant wait to see your truck and new and ready to rip. We always look forward to the up coming videos you post!! Have a great one!!

Love the old school bodies on the newer trucks. As much as I like the old chassis and still watch the races from the 80s and 90s the current chassis are so much better.

Now wait a minute........correct me if I'm wrong.....but Steve Dane had king kong here in New York cause jeff was running the new king kong ..THAT ONE!! I was 14 when he had that truck at Lafevers Lagoon in 1981 and that truck was not reddish maroon.....IT WAS SAFIRE BLUR METALLIC!!!!!!! I know cause I got in it enough for steve....I will never forget that ever. Steve is an amazing guy and I would love to see him again cause I'm sure he remembers me. My mom bought everything he had for clothing. I lost pictures and clothing in a fire in 2000. I'm sure u see the Dane brothers cause there is 3.....ask them cause I want to know if I'm right!!!...lol SWEET VIDEO!!!

So tell me if I have these names right, I think I saw them all in the video. Bob Chandler, Bigfoot, Everett Jasper, USA-1, and Fred Shafer, Bearfoot? I remember thinking how awesome that Equalizer truck was when it seemed unstoppable. Where did Texas Toy fall on the list of Diesel trucks? Anybody know?

In 1993 I was 8 years old and met Fred Shafer , Dan runte , and several others in Springfield Missouri. Also rode in the back of Bigfoot that year. So many memories

I wish there was a radio controlled Bigfoot made , Axial has a rc Grave Digger , I know Traxxas made one but it's only 2 wheel drive.

good to see Bear Foot & Fred Schafer. Bear Foot Big Foot and Taurus all from my home town area, all 2 within a 20 mile radius, I grew up watching them built and evolve to become the Legends they are. even got to know some of the drivers personally.

I thought the Original Barefoot was a long bed square body Chevy and it was light blue. They also had Lil Barefoot at that time and it was a S-10 truck that was the same blue.

Last time I saw bear foot it was 2006 at the first monster truck show in “University Of Phoenix Stadium” or now “State Farm Stadium” and he hit the wall and broke it stopping a few inches before gas line because his brakes failed

I remember the 2 giants Bearfoot n Bigfoot! I still have a original bearfoot postcard that was sent to me by Mr. Fred Shaffer! I sent a letter to him to inquire if bear foot was gonna make a appearance in Albuquerque NM! He sent me the postcard of bearfoot pulling a sled in a tractor pull I miss those days! Thank you restoring my favorite monster truck

It's a shame that some of these trucks have to replicated, the originals have the history. Definitely super cool that they've been replicated through it just would be cool if the originals still existed.

I have that original Taurus hot wheels. Played with it so much there is hardly and paint left on it. I loved Bearfoot, was a huge Chevy fan so always rooted for him. Was so disappointed when Fred switched to Dodge.

i met Fred Shafer back in 1997 in Houston. asked for an autograph. he gave me a monster truck trading card with a picture of bearfoot and his autograph on the back

Very cool. I met fred when i saw the original bear foot at the san diego sports arena.. Fred is a very nice guy. Its great to see him . i did meet jack Fred's friend at the time. Both great guys.

Love this video, I know this is a dumb question. After they sit the trucks for good, do they drain all the oil and gas out of them so it does not go bad in the engines for sitting so long or never moved once they are parked?

Loved the video Mike. The Monster Truck Hall of Fame is definitely on my bucket list. RIP to those we've lost in the monster truck industry. Love the Bear Foot truck and all the other old school trucks. I love that a lot of truck teams are using old-style truck themes like Bad Habit. Do you plan on using an old Ford body truck in the future?

Thank you for all the updates on IG and here on the truck refurb, the amazing Bearfoot rebuild, and that great looking Black Stallion throwback body. You do a great job showcasing the cutting edge in monster trucks, the amazing history, and your personal experiences. I have to admit to getting away from the sport getting older, but your videos definitely reignited my love of monster truck. Sincerely early 90s kid.

Still love the look of the Black Stallion body on that chassis! Would be cool to see that on Matt's truck a few times in 2020. Good to see Fred, haven't seen Fred in a very long time, especially when he stepped back from the sport. That Bearfoot truck turned out fantastic. All in all a great time it seems and I look forward to seeing what's in stored for next year. Good to see that the chassis is back, now it's time to get that rolling.
