I lost count. Bloomsburg 2000 was my first ever event.

@@MidnightMadness4x4 Ah. I've only been to like 4 shows. 3 in California and 1 in Las Vegas. The three shows I've been to are Salinas, Fresno, and Santa Clara. The one in Las Vegas I've been to was Monster Jam World Finals XVI.

Its interesting to see that people are starting to raise concern about the safety standards of this event. For a few years now, I’ve thought this was a bit of a risky show. The main problem I have is the track, with only one very small obstacle, the drivers feel like they need to pick up to high speeds or get on 2 wheels in order to put on a good show, which I can understand. Sadly, this isn’t safe in such a skinny venue when people are sitting/walking just feet away from the performance area. To resolve this, I think the buck needs to include larger, steeper obstacles that would discourage drivers from using such high speeds. The track has been the same for decades anyway, a change would be entertaining regardless. Also, lawn chair seating in front of the grandstands should not be allowed during a buck monster truck show, there is very little (~10 feet) area between the lawn chair seating area and the track. Two years ago, a truck actually climbed the track barriers, almost went into the grandstand and didn’t have his rii shut off for a few seconds afterwards. Tbh, an rii really isn’t going to do much anyway if a truck is on 2 wheels out of control at high speeds heading for the grandstand. Another area of improvement should be the standing area on the far end. Monster trucks are always heading in that direction at high speeds but tuff trucks have to cross through it after their pass. At the show earlier this year a tuff truck lost its brakes and couldn’t slow down to get through this area. No one was injured, but if security wasn’t on its game or a dumb person walked through security, it could have been disasterous. Tuff trucks should finish with the large ramp in the direction facing towards the pits, not the crowd. Also, the whole incident with stallion almost climbing evo with people on the other side of evo was a little crazy. With all the people on the track, trucks should not be allowed on the track to start with. All of this is actually quite surprising, just 5 years ago, they shut a truck off in freestyle for having a blown tire, citing safety reasons. I honestly believe this was too strict given that the truck (molar muscle) wasn’t carrying high speeds like evo or stinger do at the buck. Sadly, this certainly isn’t the worst I’ve seen. At an event in Frederick md a few years ago, trucks were launching off a ramp pressed up against the side wall with people on just the other side. Had a trucks steering gone out before the hit, or the cars shot the truck in the wrong direction, this could have been a disaster. However, the WORST safety violation I have seen was a show in Leesburg va last year. To start out with, the vintage mountaineer truck was put on display behind the grandstands immediately after making a racing pass. People could walk up to and touch a truck that was so hot it was smoking - not even safety tape was put on the truck. Even worse was the grandstand seating on the left side of the track. Best seen in my video (Leesburg VA 2017) after wheelie contest, people crowded together against a white Pickett fence that was the only “safety barrier b/w the track and spectators. Even worse, the final jump in racing faced in the direction towards this mob; had brakes gone out on a truck, disaster could have struck. I should mention neither of these shows are still running and no accident ever happened, just something to think about. The safety at some small monster truck shows needs to be thought out better. I think with a few track changes, the safety of this event could be increased significantly.
