glad you got some some rubber boots, I wear mine all the time, wore them at the beach for 4 days over Xmas. Luckily if you take one over the bow, yer pants soak up most of the water. BTW, I'm thinking about selling my 900 and buying another 600. I think its a gold ring this week. Thanks Jim.

Het Jim, I'm starting to bring in a little precious metal now and again but I have never been sure that I am doing the best I can on the selling end. It would be great if you devote some of a video on the best way to sell your gold. I think a lot of us are getting smoked pretty bad when we go to sell this stuff. That is a hard one, since I do not sell me gold or precious metals. I bag, tag and save for either return or retirement. In SoCal, Tangible Investments will give you best price for high end jewelry.

What settings do you use for the Nox 900 while on the beach?

Every beach is different depending on the mineralization of the sand. Mostly stock settings with changes as needed, in the wet sand I turn the recovery speed down to 4, 5 tones always, adjust sensitivity as needed. Very simple, Though I hunt in all metal mode because deep targets sound like iron, I take a scoop or two to see if it gets better.

Finding those fish hooks is an excellent incentive to wear foot protection when you're on a sandy beach...Step on one without any footwear and you're gonna learn a harsh lesson... Getting one in your foot is less likely if you are wearing foot protection...(,, personal experience)...😰 Every time I go to the Beach I now wear foot protection... Good day hunting. I've cut back from twenty+ hours a week to just two hours twice a week. We need to keep healthy and I find detecting just isn't enough exercise for me at 55 y/o.
