Monsterbass Platinum Box March 2024: Make Monsterbass Great Again

In this video we take a look at this month's ofering from Monsterbass platinum monthly subscription. The bags are back and thats about as good as this one gets. Were looking at the second month in a row of a sub par and in my opinion sub standard box. If this is the direction MB is moving then they have lost what set them apart in the industry. Im starting to wonder if this is why a bunch of the pro staff left this year. Interested to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Seth - Thanks for making the video and I appreciate your transparency just like everyone else. Congrats on hitting 700 subs! Keep up the good work! Ok... It’ll be impossible for me to address everyone’s comments but let me try to cover as many as I can... and I think just the fact that I’m taking time to do so, shows that I’m listening and that I care. In the last 5 years I’ve sent out around 1 million boxes. That’s over 1000+ bait combinations and in 5 years I can only think of 3 baits that had I known more about them, I would re-think putting them in the box... Mustad Skatter Shad, Fat Bastard Frog & Googan Clickbait. So 3 “bad choices” out of over 1000+ baits is pretty solid. I’ve done my best to create boxes that have a mix of new, up and coming and well-known brands. I’ve supported small business and I’m always on the search for new brands that have the desire & ability to participate in a subscription box campaign. Many brands want to participate, but many simply cannot for a variety of reasons. Not every brand can produce the quantity of baits we need, at the price point we need and in the timeframe we need in order be included in the box. So the options are not limitless and we continue to try and find as many new, up and coming baits & brands as we possibly can. Will you see a Z-Man Jackhammer or a Strike King Rage Craw or Thunder Cricket again? Yes. However our goal is to not include the same bait a 2nd time within an 18-24 month period. Meaning... if you are in the Northeast region and you receive a 3/8oz Jackhammer in FireCraw... we may include another Jackhammer in 18-24 months but our goal is to make sure you get it in a different color or size. And let’s face it... if we can never include a Jackhammer again because you think it’s a duplicate, even in a different color... then what about all of the new subscribers that come after you that’ll never get a Z-Man Jackhammer in their box? Now before you tell me that a different color or different size is a duplicate... I ask you to consider this... not 1 person would say anything negative if I sent them a 2nd Vision 110 in a different size or color. Our goal is to not make mistakes but when we do, we always try to fix them to the best of our ability. So if you get a duplicate that is the exact same color and size that you got before, and you don't want it... let my team know and we'll take care of you. We have a great customer service team and they'll take good care of you. So whether you subscribe to MONSTERBASS, 6th Sense or anyone else that has a subscription box... at some point it becomes impossible not to include a bait a 2nd time around. The pool of options keep getting smaller and smaller. To make matters worse, events like the collapse of Catch Co. and them leaving countless bait makers unpaid is making brands weary about getting burned again by another subscription box. So that’s not helping matters at all. IThe face shield that we included in the box... It’s a freebie. It’s not replacing a bait. It’s simply something I’m including in the box that helps MONSTERBASS with brand awareness. I’ve included everything from free t-shirt coupons to face shields, rod covers, samples of scent, sunscreen & more. I’m going to continue to do so because it’s something I want to do and it’s not taking away from the money I spend on the baits we put in the box. Here’s some quick comments for people that specifically made some. I want to make sure you feel heard as well... - @heidiclough5904 you’re right that I am big on feedback... I do listen and I’ve made countless changes to the brand based upon customer feedback. I’ve made changes to shipping. I’ve implemented a Loyalty program. I’ve changed the hooks we use on our baits. I’ve made changes to LIVE. I helped create a program to support Veterans & Kids. I even started asking brands for “limited edition” colors based upon customer feedback. I’d argue that there aren’t many brands that listen and implement change as quickly as we do. - @FutureBassmaster4469 I’m really sorry you feel the way that you do. I’d be happy to discuss this with you if you’re up for it. - @TKLewis904 The Googan Clickbait is not discontinued. It’s not even on Clearance at Tackle Warehouse. - @MainahTony “I remember the days when he use to pair the boxes.” The January & February boxes all paired together. In closing... If we’ve used so many good baits in the past like the Jackhammer, Thunder Cricket, etc., and you don’t feel like we should include different sizes or colors of them in the future... then maybe a subscription box isn’t right for you anymore. And that’s ok. MONSTERBASS is much more than a “subscription box”. We make other great products like our line of rods... the Lunkersticks. Our rods were designed by a really great rod designer and come with one of the best no-hassle warranties in the business. Our line of baits are solid too. We use brand name components, have great paint schemes & we even started using recycled material for our packaging. Our program MONSTERBASS Cares supports Veteran events and offers support to those in need. So if you’ve outgrown our subscription box, maybe your support for the brand and our community can be centered around the other ways in which we are trying to make a positive impact on our sport as a whole. I want to say Thank you to Rick and the entire Monsterbass team. Thank you for reminding me again why I wanted to join with Monsterbass and why I made the video. You do listen and take feedback and implement it, I think more than probably anyone else I know of in this industry. Monsterbass Overall has done such a phenomenal job with the boxes over the years, and a few lately haven't been but it does become more difficult to perform at that high level. I know you will continue to improve where and when you can, and for that you have my support as always and if there is anything I can do to help let me know.

Great job even though I think the box was a disappointment! Definitely some repeats and I agree that the clickbait is the worst bait Googan makes. Maybe this is how they're trying to get rid of em! Love your transparency on the positives and negatives on this month’s MB subscription. I agree with you on the repeat baits, although it is nice to get some repeats, but if we lost the bait supplied to us from MB in the water, we would then replenish this item in our arsenal ourselves. I think maybe you should do a video on the Googan bait just to show the frustration you and all of us have with it. MB is huge on feedback, but I honestly, in my opinion, don’t think they listen to our suggestions, as nothing changes. ( Like the face mask. Why not put a reel of braid or Fluro. in there instead… just something different). On a positive note, you have come a long way, I went back and binge watched all of your videos from the beginning. The clarity of sound, picture, content, honesty, how you edit the video so it’s not too long, and your confidence has all changed and for the better. Thank you for doing what you do and for taking the time to show us great content. I have made a few suggestions in the past and you listened and either brought it up on the show or demonstrated “How it worked”… so thank you. Keep doing what you do. Have not had any luck with the clickbait. I have had luck with several other Googan Squad baits but not that one. It seems there is a lot of repeats on crank baits. Good job on video though. Can’t always have a spectacular unboxing.

I had 4 outta 5 baits same color, same bait. I was the 4th customer EVER with monsterbass. We used to get strike king boxes, allllll name brand n i mesn all name brand stuff! Literally some boxes was over 75$ in value. Now i think rick is just going as cheap as he can, making as much money as he can cause MB is the next mtb....... i cancelled im just tired of lies, junk and the decline.......

Mb is going to fail soon if they keep this crap up, they've been acting like mtb for a while now. It's give it a 3 and that's only because the spinner bait is good but inappropriate.
