This year was a DnB Renaissance. Between the old guard of Delta Heavy, ShockOne, Feint, and MUZZ churning out hits, as well as some newer faces in REAPER, Bossfight, Bensley, and Mazare, with a resurgence of Protostar, all topped off with the return of Pendulum, DnB is back with a vengeance, and it's beautiful. To all of the artists who released this year, DnB and otherwise, thank you. Your efforts are appreciated.

@@danalynch118 You can't compare the songs themselves, but you can compare the amount of good songs from each. In my opinion, Uncaged had many more great songs this year than Instinct, so I voted all Uncaged. But last year I felt the opposite and voted mostly Instinct

They were more memorable, better quality tracks on Uncaged than Instinct, where most of the tracks werent memorable nor did it really stand out alot in terms of diversity. I usually keep my votes fair 5 for each brand but for this year I end up picking 7 for Uncaged due to the statement ive mentioned.

The Uncaged releases were so good this year! My favorites are: "Somewhere Else" and "Star Glide" by MUZZ "Dark Room" and "Redo" and "Tell Me" by Crankdat "Butterfly Effect" by Koven.

Jesus Christ, the transitions in this are completely unnoticeable. I straight up did not realize you changed from Slippy - Form to Crankdat - Dark Room until I clicked on the video again.

In case you were wondering, the voting this year differed in terms of, it was no longer 1 song per artist, hence why artists like Crankdat are on here 3 times, and why Instinct, with the smaller following, is intensely dwarfed compared to Uncaged. Hell, the #1 song on Instinct was Slushii’s RL tune. Never mind that, though. This year for music was stellar, and don’t forget the monumental event next week: The remix exchange. Au5, Pegboard Nerds, Darren Styles, Rogue, Stonebank, and Infected Mushroom are coming out with remixes of each other’s songs next week to celebrate the holiday season. (The remixed songs by which artists are unknown, kind of like a gift.) also The Promised Land wins AOTY and no one can tell me otherwise.

I like that Monstercat takes the time to set up a voting process for BO each year rather than just regurgitating whatever got the most views. It really shows; nearly every song here is one I love. Also, congrats to Bossfight, MUZZ, Crankdat, and Pixel Terror on the triple placements, and Au5 with two songs in the top five! It's been a crazy year for music.
