I get the Star Wars one every year. I have every one since the beginning. I like the exclusive holiday mini figures and as somebody else mentioned they usually have a mini figure that was exclusive to a far more expensive set. They end up being a pretty good bargain when you can find them on sale about a week or so before Black Friday. I got mine for $26.00

It feels awful to know they probably successfully tricked loads of people. It seemed obvious that it wasn't legit right from the start, but I'd always see people in comment sections that seem to be buying it - and with it being the Christmas season, it's possible even more people fell for it thinking they were giving someone a great gift. What genuinely surprises me is that they actually shipped something, though. I didn't think there'd even be an actual product tbh.

I know it's a gag, but I love the happy ending, MIB. :) This isn't unprecedented, I suppose. In the 70s, a Japanese toyline was released here in America called "Godzilla's Gang." It consisted of Godzilla... and ULTRA MONSTERS! No Rodan, no Mothra, no Angilas... Ultra monsters most Americans probably hadn't seen before. But they were officially licensed figures. You're doing the Lord's work falling on the grenade for the rest of us. R.I.P. your money, though.

Far too much credit. I'd say the fly by night company that made these bought a bunch of cheap generic kaiju figures from Ali Express and just assumed giant monster= Godzilla. These all feel like something that should be in an arcade for like 50 tickets each.

I got the same Advent calander last December and I was also very disappointed. I got different figures than you, though, including more Ultra-monsters and four Godzillas. One of them was missing its tail and it was nowhere in the box! I would’ve liked to get the pin, which I didn’t. Overall, a disappointing product.

I'm so glad my suspicions were right about these. I was considering getting 2 for my dad and me cause I saw the Godzilla one and a Monster Hunter one. I wound up not getting them because I just couldn't shake the feeling that something seemed off, and I'm glad to see my instincts were right.
