I've been waiting for this one. So informative to watch the build process, and your test results of multiple systems were great. Thank you!

Nice! Great build. I did cringe a little when needle nose pliers substituted for a wrench 😬. Nice tunes. Thanks!

Silent PC idea. Put your standard loud PC in room ONE. Put your desk with monitor, keyboard and mouse in room TWO. Make a small hole in the wall between room ONE and TWO for cables going from PC to your desk. Voilà. All the noise is going to be insulated by the wall. What do you think about that?
@vadimbulavintsev3073 ай бұрын
I've done that once. The workplace was in the room, and the PC was on the balcony (glassed). Worked perfectly, except for a couple downsides: 1. I had to drill 20cm of external brick wall with a perforator and insulate it afterward; 2. it was impossible to turn off the PC during the winter months since it would freeze and won't turn on (just as a car in the cold).

With the MonsterLabo Beast, you don't install the CPU Cooler onto the Motherboard, but the Motherboard onto the CPU Cooler

Very interesting video, I hope you're going to do more content with The Beast 👏 The GPU letting off the boost a bit, I'd say that was just getting interesting. What would happen if you'd run it for a few more hours, does it come down even more? And the memory, does it show any signs of overheating? GDDR6 can get quite hot.

Great Build! Where did you get the VRM heatsink from?
@fullysilentpcs3 жыл бұрын
The VRM heatsink came with the MonsterLabo case.

Hey I would really like to buy a PC from you guys but it looks like a lot of high end parts are not available right now. Will you be getting parts in at any time soon?

Great video! I have one of topiq question. Is it possible to run a noctua nh-d15?semi passive. I only want the fans in my pc to be activated when I play games or when the temperaure goes over 60 degress celsius.
@kasimirdenhertog35163 жыл бұрын
NH-D15 is designed to be an active heatsink, the fin stack is made of thin plates that have little capacity to absorb/store heat. The fins are close together so it requires a fan to blow air through it or it will start to 'soak'. The NH-P1, on the other hand, has thick, spaced out fins that can absorb/store heat and promote convection. I tried running a D15 fanless and it was fully saturated and soaking after 10-20 seconds of full load. If you want to cool (semi-)passively, I think the P1 is your best bet, it's quite a marvel of engineering.
@swecreations3 жыл бұрын
All heatsinks can do that, what you're missing is fans that have the ability to turn off entirely, you need to buy a fan that has the ability to turn off completely, like for example the Arctic P12 ARGB 0db, then you can set the fan curve so that it only turns on above 60C (I would personally put that at 70C though as there is no reason to have the CPU that cool)
@CarsAndMotorcycles3 жыл бұрын
@@kasimirdenhertog3516 Thx for your knowledge! When just browsing on the computer and watching movies can the nh-15d endure that without heat soak and turning on the fans? I would prefer the nh-15d over the nh-p1 becuase when it comes to cool down a 11900k under hi end gaming its a better cooler.
@CarsAndMotorcycles3 жыл бұрын
@@swecreations Thx for the tip of the artic cooler. You can use a fan controller as well to turn of the fans on a nh-15d to get it semi passive.
@kasimirdenhertog35163 жыл бұрын
@@CarsAndMotorcycles depends on the CPU, if its frugal and boosts conservatively, you can go without a fan on a NH-D15 with light workloads. But I had a 10900K and that was not feasible, even with light workloads. It can ask for a lot of power in a short time. The best setup was a single Noctua at 400-500 rpm, which is inaudible in a closed case, and let that spin up at a high threshold, like 60-70 degrees C.

Wonder how this compares to the fully passive Turemetal UP10
@fullysilentpcs3 жыл бұрын
It is better than the Turemetal UP10. The UP10 will cool up to about 120W/180W CPU/GPU.

Also, another question. Can you add a second or a third SSD to the setup easily once it has been buiilt without having to remove the motherboard from the spreader or that's not possible? I am considering a 3 SSD built later on.
@fullysilentpcs2 жыл бұрын
No, you would have to remove the motherboard. That is one of the main downsides with this case.
@thephoenixchant2 жыл бұрын
@@fullysilentpcs Then the best idea is to ask for the ssds or request the cables hanging from the motherboard just 8n case. And no matter what if one SSD fails, being there cables one can swap them.
@fullysilentpcs2 жыл бұрын
Actually, now that I think about it, the SATA ports are accessible without removing the motherboard. It is only the M.2 slots that will not be accessible.
@fullysilentpcs2 жыл бұрын
If the motherboard has the SATA ports pointed out from the side of the motherboard that is. If the ports are pointed upward it can be difficult.

@@fullysilentpcs Which CPU do u recommend me in a 100% fanless setup? I9 11900 or amd 5950x? One that is stable and doesn't throttle while in music production with a 3060 Ti.
@thephoenixchant2 жыл бұрын
Ryzen 5600X? a 5950X has the same TDP but in practice it will throttle right? Because one thing is the TDP and another the max temperature it reaches under extensive periods of heavy load. Do you recommend the 5600 x over the 5950x in this fanless setup? I have also seen sets of this with 3060 Ti. Does it work better than 3070?
@fullysilentpcs2 жыл бұрын
The Beast will work well even with a 5950X, up to 150 W actual power draw.
@thephoenixchant2 жыл бұрын
@@fullysilentpcs @ What about an i9 11900 setup? If has a 65 watt TDP, so in terms of temperatures it should run as hot as a 5600X, and since Intel's T-Junction is 100 degrees Celsium, in a hot 30 degree summer worst case scenario at maximum load it would hit 91.2 degrees Celsium, 8 below its T-Junction. The i9 would not throttle, nor the 5600X, making them better choices for music production than 5950x, unless the 5950x one has the setup with the fans. Am I right?
@RevivedWarrior13 жыл бұрын
that looked more difficult but I think if you sat down for a few hours you might be able be to put it together...

I hate that most of these projects inverse the power ratio of CPU to GPU, often also growing needlessly to fit long cards that won't be used anyway would love to see one with 120+W CPU and 70W GPU and being cut down to the smallest possible size as ITX sized cards aren't really rare, especially ones without external power
@RUTHAN6673 жыл бұрын
Interesting things will happen when CPU+GPU is loaded at same time.
