So his job is to rebuilt the part that breaks even stronger so it doesn't break again, because climbing up objects shouldn't break the truck and slamming on the brakes shouldn't break the truck

The failure has nothing to do with torque. The limit straps on the suspension broke when he locked up the brakes. Basic physics…newton’s first law…an object in motion stays in motion until acted on by another outside for He locked up the brakes and the truck kept going…past the breaking point of what was essentially holding his suspension together upon rebound.

@@christianbiedrzycki2432yea I don’t know what they were thinking using off the shelf shocks they might work for the weight of the truck and sprung mass but when a single axle weighs more than the truck alone it was pretty obvious what was going to happen as soon as you hit max suspension down-travel in a shock load And to preempt this dumb argument Sure the limit straps were “supposed” to prevent that but that’s bad engineering they should increase part life by not allowing him to beat the piston into the gland in the first place they should not be what’s keeping the piston from destroying the gland in the event the truck gets airborne
