What about the griffin from the Witcher 3 ? That one had four limbs and walked with its wings like a pterosaur

Yeah, while I have some problems with the design (both objective and subjective ones), the general idea of a bird/pterosaur griffin is functional. Although, it is more of a reinterpretation of the griffin, not one that corresponds to any historical accounts and descriptions (at least none that I know of).

It could have had tufts of feathers on its head resembling ears. Perhaps only in the males, and used for attracting mates.
