The scariest roars in my opinion: Diablos 2:47 (ear piercing scream) Fulgur anjanath 3:07 (deep echoing roar, Godzilla material right there) Brachydios 3:24 (raging brachy supernova is ear piercing to the extreme) Seething bazelgeuse 4:18 (he sounds like he’s so angry at you that he tore his throat screaming) Vaal hazak 5:06 (it’s ominously calm, like the monster itself) Namielle 5:33 (that’s right outta subnautica💀) Shara ishvalda 6:07 *(he awakens)* Honorable mentions: Bloodbath (Diablos but better) Amatsu (sounds like a god coming down to kill you) Fatalis (you know you’re gonna have a bad time) White fatalis (scariest one in my opinion, the way he completely eclipses every other noise and saturates the audio till you can barely hear anything just reflects how he is the ultimate monster and an elder could be roaring right there and you wouldn’t realize, since white fatalis far out powers everything in the monster hunter universe)

Just listen to the old zinogre roar in a video. Compared to this it's really bad. I agree that the design shape etc are really good with the iceborne version zinogre too.

Zsolt Horváth you need to know also. Sometimes the old version will be the old version and not all monsters are gonna be 100% accurate. Like tigrex his roar is there. Until they gave us brute tigrex that gave us the roar to kill us.

Something that gets severely underlooked here is the _visual_ element of their roars, particularly, any roar that requires earplugs. It gives off that subtle screen blur effect to really make them feel weighty. I wish someone would do a breakdown of that effect, so other people could work them into games. In rise, they even add a sort of shockwave effect

My personal top 8 roars: 1: Raging Brachy. I chose RB and not B because RB has this bird-like fading screech before the big finale in which some might say it was the sound of someone blowing on an electric fan turned into an intense roar. 2: Kulu and Tzitzi. Both roars resemble that of a bird, the Kulu sounds like a large omnivorous bird in distress, and the Tzitzi like a Lira bird. 3: Glavenus. Glavenus has this amazingly fitting roar in which it sounds like a strong and intense lawn mower engine powering on, what really gives it that "glavenus touch" is that after-sound effect of a metal spoon clanking at mid-roar. 4: Bazelgeuse and Seething Bazel. What I personaly like about this roar is tha I can't really figure out what this roar really sounds like compared to real world, I really like its yell that slowly rises in pitch and then inmediatly loves quickly in at the last second, and its unknown clanking noise really is the "Bazel touch" that brings this roar to life. 5: Anjanath & Fulgur Anja. Both Anjanaths sound like oversized geese at first, I really like this bird-like sound in these roars because the Anjanath does resemble a vulture and/or a turkey mixed with a large animal such as a dinosaur, a therapod to be specific, and when the Anja becomes enraged in which its odd nostrils and sails pop out, it sounds like a large hissing beast, a crocodile that hisses like a bird for example, the Fulgur Anjanath on the other hand still sounds like an oversized goose, but when enraged, it sounds like the green (or red) death dragon from the HTTYD movies and is really what sets apart these two according to the sounds they emmit. 6: Nargacuga. Nargacuga's roar is like that of a large felyne from the real world but with an intense sound edit in which made this roar very fitting to the Nargacuga's cat-like apperiance, aside from its origin, it is so extreme the Nargacuga almost seems to make an effort while it booms its roar at its enemies and it really fits the point that the Nargacuga can fight with almost every part of its body. 7: Tigrex. The Tigrex's roar is brown to be one of (and if not) the loudest roars in the MH universe, it is so powerful that aside from stunning hunters it will actually hurt the hunters and anything that attacks it, the Tigrex's roar begins with a malfunctioning microphone screech and then proceeds with with almost the same clanking noise like that of a Bazelgeuse, but this noise sounds more like a truck engine. 8: Barrioth. Barrioth does not have an exciting roar like most monsters do, but it has a soft, low pitched felyne roar, bit it was also exactly this reason why it is in my list, although its roar is soft, it does fit according to where it lives, since the Hoarfrost Reach is a snowy and mountanious region, the Barrioths roar really stand out in there, the roar is like a howl that echos around every single corner, technicaly something you would excpect when hearing a Yeti in the snowy mountains.

Odogaron is a monster able to enter some kind of Frenzy state after eating. So everytime a Hunter fights it and it starts to get pushed, it eats and becomes even faster and stronger (a state marked by his visible veins and smoke coming out of its back).

Rogue Pylon still underwhelming I would get if Zinogre was purely a fanged beast but its a wyvern, so kinda lacking it delivers the fanged part but not the wyvern- and heck looking at the size and physical appearance of zinogre I kinda find lacking.
