J'aime beaucoup "Chipiron II" avec sa timonerie découverte, qui permet de voir le cap'tain à l'ouvrage. Quant à "Point Barre" les diverses positions de ses deux HB (Honda ?) indiquent que le timonier fait ce qu'il peut avant de renoncer à sortir... Moins de couple qu'un gros diesel "in board" ?

For sure. Nice depiction of a barred inlet. Light wind. No white caps. Gentle swell made steep by the shallows. Skippers keeping enough power to maintain steerage and waiting for a break in the sets. Good stuff. This place would be hairy in bad weather for sure.

They are watching for a lull between wave sets for optimal bar crossing. As evidenced by this and other videos like it, this is a critical decision moment and is key for success even for larger vessels. Bar crossings are dangerous and unforgiving.
