I remember that incident. Now there are more rescue/escape rooms in the 11kms and a bit and more rescue buttons. We went back to the Alps crossing into Italy for a while until they rebuilt the Mont Blanc Tunnel. I am in Switzerland we use the tunnel to cross from Swiss to France Chamonix then get into Courmayeur . The rules also changed as in distance between each vehicle. More lights and markings. Kuko sawa sawa nowadays. Kuna monument of those who died in the tunnel in Chamonix before the climb to the tunnel.
