I think it was just early, it was 9am. The top of the mountain was pretty busy around noon

Miss Mont Tremblant, used to go there every year but its been about 4 years since the last time I visited. I remember this trail being difficult to maintain speed on a snowboard but still lots of fun. Have you skied Mont-Sainte-Anne? Love it there, has a bit more snow and a few really fun trails through the trees.

I will have to give it a shot! It's much further than Tremblant for me - 5 hours vs 2 hours. But, it's great that MSA has lights. When I go, I will make a video!

I love this run to warm up or to just cruise at the end of along day. There is a little bypass that’s still Nansen Bas for that “steep spot” on the left. It’s technically the trail vehicles take in the summer to get to the top.

Refreshing to see you on the slopes aside from the MTB content! Coming from ON, I was with my gf on Nausen, and it really isn't a trail someone can enjoy unless they're an intermediate rider who can maintain some speed. Tremblant is a great place for someone who can hold their own on at least a Blue trail

Great point! If you can’t keep a decent pace, this trail almost isn’t steep enough for a beginner! I guess that’s why people walk up it

"my legs are getting a little tired" I tell the newbies, stay in Ontario until can handle all the blues and some diamonds. Why ? else you will do 2 runs on the green and call it day. I had a former manager, very athletic, top shape. She decided to tramblant to learn. Big mistake if you coming for the GTA. You went the furthest, most expensive place you can ride the bunny slope. She did the trail you are on, took her 1.5 hours. which is normal for a first timer. and never rode again. :( it's like learning how to drive in super car. yeah it might be the best on the track but not to learn. As for tremblant, without question it is one of most developed places I've been to. Good points, lots of housing, food and trails. Lots of trails. lots of different lifts. different sides. downside, popularity, it can get busy, but not to crazy, and cost! we can't have everything.

I agree with your points about taking a beginner. I watched a little girl with her dad struggling to get down Toboggan. The guy had the look of someone who just realized he probably just wasted 3 to 5 hundred dollars. I’ma big fan of Tremblant after visiting twice tho. It’s Definitely a good idea to park on the north side to avoid the crowds and the paid parking on the south, bring your own lunch and drinks, and don’t go with noobs or you are just wasting your money. Fortunately, Ottawa area has a lot of really good hills for all skill levels, they are much cheaper, but much shorter.

@@GoodTrails Good planning. I pack a lunch when I can. I give out my pointers based on past experiences. If they want lesson.... Most people do. A few are head strong... Ottawa is my MTB radar for sure. Maybe this summer. It is close enough for a weekend without being to tight on time. Never enough time. ....

@@GoodTrails Is it pathetic that we just did all the greens at tremblant yesterday and day before? We normally go to camp fortune where we ski 10 runs anywhere from 10-14km, so we did two back to back days and did 65km about 20 runs total. It was just sooo tiring, but we did Petit Bonehur, Algonquin, (I did tobaggon and was so tired), Nansen, bunch of the other greens. Is that a waste? I think the greens in a way become blues because get tired

@@kalafka12 I don’t know if it’s pathetic but the blue runs are steeper so they are actually shorter than the greens. I found the Nansen to be a bit tiring because I was never on my edges, it was all flat footed skiing.
