I replaced my Monta Atlas with a Tudor BB36. I loved the Atlas, but sat slightly off on my small 6.2” wrist. The bracelet is great, but clasp is not small wrist friendly with the long swing arm.

I used to be no date and love the symmetry. But I now understand the importance of asymmetry for reading watch. One point of asymmetry is highly valuable. Plus as a scientist I use the day date frequently. Most pros will appreciate day date.

Only used sw300 and they regulate to -5/+5, top grade but not paying for Cosc. They just made some tweaks to their crown guards as well. They “butterflied” their crown to taper

I've spent hours trying to get a dust-free seal. It's nearly impossible. To be perfect you'd need to work in an absolute clean room, with the right humidity control and HEPA filter or something. One thing that helps is getting some Rodico, you can put it into a point and pick away individual dust particles you see, and it doesn't really leave a mark on a dial/crystal usually.

had a similar comparision question. monta or sinn 104? sinn is offering a limited edition matte 104 with anthricite dial and orange seconds hand.

That’s would be a hard choice for me. finishing, bracelet and clasp Monta for the win. But the 104 looks is hard to beat

Both are great brands and watches. Pick what one speaks to you and go for it. The design and style are the big differences Monta seems slightly more refined.

@@PepRex I like how when the luxury brands (VC, AP) have an integrated bracelet it's perfectly fine, but when Oris or Seiko does it people are hyper-critical. Not to mention the bracelet on the Aquis is excellent.

Not if you get one second hand. Got my gilt no date for USD 1k and it was hardly worn. That's a really good price. I wouldn't buy one new though.
