What a fun hunt though. We had no clue that this bull was going to come out. We stayed close to the herd all day, and luckily Levi saw those legs going through the trees. He also made a great decision to bugle when he did, granted we were in the wide open (I still don't know how the bull didn't see us). We got in that bulls bubble, and he came out immediately looking for that bugle. You can see it in his face, he was hot.

Gosh no kidding! I think that little hill in front of us was just enough. But the shot and time of kill could not have been better, have been on the other side many times so it was a relief to get a great, clean kill.

I'm new to elk hunting in the last couple of years and in an effort to speed up my learning curve, I think I've watched just about every KZbin archery elk hunting video (and some of them multiple times). It looks like this is the first video you've posted. The quality and content were easily as good or better than plenty of people that make a living doing it. Nice job!

Congratulations, great shot on a great bull. Enjoyed the content. One suggestion, when transferring from y'all whispering to music and back, try to keep it about the same level. About blew my ears out when the loud music came on.

Biggest lesson from this video is it always seems to happen when you list expect it so you have to stay aware and ready. Also….even in the wind….you can kill a nice bull. Wind and thermals make archery hunting so friggin tough. So awesome to watch it happen anyway.

No, we take every ounce of meat that we can. Provides for myself, family, and friends for a very long time. Some of the best, organic meat, that earth has to offer. Elk meat is my absolute favorite.

Great video! But proofs in the pudding of why I'll never use expandables on elk you only get one hole. In dark nasty timber he might have got a lot farther. Stick with fixed blade bro! You would have blown right through them!

Great video. Nice bull. If I was to say a thing would be the very last part where you drive off at the end parading your harvest. Tacky to me in the white rig. We hunters are only a very small portion of the population. When most other folks see this it’s shocking to them and they vote the way they feel. So they vote away are hunting. !!! It’s happening more and more. We need to respect folks around us even tho they don’t feel the same. Having hunted 4 decades in the wilderness I run into all the non hunters enjoying the wildlife. They hate to see it harvested. So when packing out my deer or elk I try in every way to cover it up so they don’t see it. Hike out at night. Pack out at night. Just my two cents.

I agree. Damn good job of filming….excellent shot….great bull but as a solo archery guy that’s loves the sounds of nature…..I friggin hate any hunting video with any music. It’s ridiculous. No offense. I don’t hunt will music playing (even in my head) so I damn sure don’t need my videos with stupid music. I loved the part with just the wind. Takes one back to a ridge or standing in the dark timber with it blowing.

Playing music on a perfectly shot video still blows my mind, but I’m 60, I’ve spent 40 yrs chasing elk in the woods with a bow. I don’t even to music in camp. I go elk hunting to get away from the sounds of society. I don’t understand how so many excellent and smart hunters can think music is a good thing on archery videos. I recommend starting the video maybe with music and maybe ending it but zero music in between. If I wanted to hear music, I’d be watching live RUSH vids on KZbin. I’m pretty picky of who I follow when it comes to hunters. Most of is due to most KZbinrs not pushing ethics, conservation edu, predator mgmt and instead just putting out kill video and crazy celebrations of stopping a beat heart of the most beautiful animal on earth. Everything in this video was perfect…..except for the unbelievably stupid thought of music. Sorry man. No offense. Just a teaching moment from someone that is really in tune and “gets it”

Lacking skills, good one. 🤣 Luck is in every hunt no matter who you are or how you do it. Been a professional guide since I was out of high school and have been apart of countless successful elk hunts. Talking over every scenario and going over everything is normal when hunting with someone else. This is a raw video, why I showed those conversations.
