Montana Elk - Week 1, The Hunt For Lee's Biggest Bull Begins // Lee and Tiffany Lakosky
The fall season is well under way and the Lakosky's have been camped out in Montana since the start. Lee sets his sights on a bull that he has some history with, and decides it's all or nothing. Here's a look at how his first week played out.

This is not a high fence ranch, it is completely fair chase. Awesome video!

What the heck do you mean by a (real )elk hunter @OneOffMaker ? I’m so sick of people bad mouthing others because they think there way is so much better. If it’s legal, what is wrong with working hard all your life to put yourself in the position to chase giant bulls on a private ranch. Keep it up Lakosky’s

You should drop an onx pin next time. Name drop like that and the spot is done. It took me 3 minutes to find where this was 😵‍💫

If you didn't break a sweat of gasp for air while elk hunting, you are not elk hunting. You are elk killing. Good lord

David Stinson came to that country and bought up three different ranches. One of the previous ranches raised buffalo, hence the taller fence. That is only on one of the three parcels that was put together by David. A lot of the footage shown is on one of the parcels that didn't have buffalo on it. This ranch is in the community that I grew up in.

Same as high fence..Ranches and farms with zero pressure are exactly like hubting fenced animals..What you do here does not even remotely resemble elk hunting..Its framing just like the giant whitetails that you kill..its deer farming not deer hunting..Big difference..

Definitely not the same as a game farm. The fences are to keep cows in, not livestock. Deer and elk easily jump a barb wire fence. You are correct that elk are definitely pressure sensitive. But that pressure can come in a lot of different ways. It could be hunting. It could be predators. It could be livestock. You don't typically see cattle and elk together. It also depends on feed availability. Remember that these ranchers make their money off of cattle. A large herd of elk on your ranch eats a lot of feed that takes away from what you can produce on the cattle side of things. A lot of ranchers don't mind seeing some elk here and there, but definitely don't want them eating their cattle's grass and/or eating off their hay stacks in the winter time. Ranchers also spend a lot of time fixing cattle fence where the elk just blow through it. There are over 60 million acres of private ground in the state of Montana. To say it is not hunting because it is on private ground is a very naïve statement. But I guess you probably use a handmade ash bow with deer sinew string, homemade arrows and flint knife with no optics, camouflage or scent blocker. Because that would be "real" hunting.

High fence yes. Just because people can access lands that receive low pressure. Don’t hate on that. Stop watching

Another private land / ranch hunt 17k for an elk hunt come on you guys need to be a little more transparent about your hunting, not public land, not fair chase the average hunter cant afford 17k for an elk hunt .
