This driving video includes the drive of the entire East side of Flathead Lake in Montana and continues to U.S. Route 93 in Montana - a beautiful road passing through vast open spaces, mountains and small towns.
Flathead Lake is the 79th largest of the natural freshwater lakes in the world, and it is one of the cleanest. As one of the cleanest in the world, Flathead Lake is perfect for open water swimming. Unless you like your water cold, the effective swimming season is June through September. Flathead Lake has a maximum depth of 370.7 ft (113.0 m), and an average of 164.7 ft (50.2 m). Flathead Lake is so clean that in the summer it is often easy to see through twenty feet of the water column.\

I lived in Potomac for many years. Made the parallel drive A LOT on the 83 (turn left at the Clearwater Cow! lol), heading up to Seeley/Swan and points north..(Kalispell, Whitefish, Glacier Park). Did this route on the 35 a few times. Beautiful drive, as you can see... Haven't been back in a long time. Thanks for the memories and the reminisce..
