This is no BS... heard something similar to what u described last week while fishing the surf in Eastern, CT... I have no idea what it was... I know it clearly wasn't fireworks. I actually thought it was sonic booms from military jets on maneuvers. .. who knows???

I bet it was fireworks. I was out last night (a sunday) and people were shooting them off around 11pm.

Sonic booms from passing aircraft(s)? My sis got a horrible video of 2 boomerang shaped aircraft over CT last week. I think they were drones but she's not sure.
