Just done it. The hot water didn't work. Used a hair dryer. Never thought I could get the piston to work again." Never give up" was always one of my philosophies. Now the polishing. Thanks again for the inspiration. I am sure my fingers will recover in the fullness of time. ,😉

Thank you. After unsuccessful attempts I shall try your method. Wish me luck. I have seen a similar video on a MB 144 where Locktite was used to repair the crack. Interesting !!

Hello. Thanks for sharing your experience. Difficult to find this info in the web. I had the same problem. Unfortunately for me, the "very hot" water you advised melted the union between the barrel and the section. I think you should modify the words "very hot" for the words "not so hot to prevent melting".

What kind of tool did you use to unscrew the feed? I don't want to grab the nib itself - that would damage it if the threads are stuck

Your not supposed to take them apart. You will most likely break something. To clean and fill ink is basically the same process. Cleaning should be the only service needed.
