i grew up admiring the 80's shredders. Jacky reminds me of some who had the syndrom of "look how good I am" vs others like this solo that is just fitting the song. Jacky is faster, but reminds me of Vinnie Vincent, Malmsteen or Jason Becker. In the end, its guys like Slash that made the most memorable melodies that everyone recognize (And i am not a Slash fan, (use to say that he was beginning playing guitar, but have to admit it over time, he did some unforgetable riffs).

@orangyalt they meant that the kind of tuning he uses is drop d but down a whole step . Drop d Iis where you take the 6 string which is usually a E but if you drop it a whole step it makes it a octive lower then the d string . Thats what they meant . Srry if u don't uderstand any of that :

Drop D is a style, not just a tuning. Drop D is any tuning that you can do barre chords on. Drop D, C, B, A#, G.

Actually, some people (I don't personally know them, but I see it here and there) consider drop C standard with the E dropped to C. So Drop D a step down is actually a more accurate way to describe it.

It's def based off the Ibanez XH300 Halbred guitar. Monte's has a tremolo on it though which leads me to believe it was something done by the Ibanez LACS

It is, but one your drop D tune, you tune it like you would standard, but now it'll be lower.

i'm a huge jacky fan and falling in reverse and what not, but if you ever have seen jacky live or seen him play, he has to look at his strings closely to see what he's doing at all times. he can't move around much on stage cuz he always plays bent over his guitar. soo just saying. he sorta plays like a robot. a very impressive robot.

There guitar playing is almost 2 different styles haha, jacky uses all sweeping and speed picking and all that and monte has more of a creative twist to it and it doesn't just follow a steady beat all the time. i like both I'm just saying there are pretty different.

Jacky is the lead guitar from Falling into Reverse. He has talent as far as he can shred it up but when it comes to technique and composition he has nothing. When you're playing guitar, if you shred and have no technique then you don't sound good at all. The little bit of technique that Jacky has is enough to make him sound decent but he doesn't have enough to make him sound professional. Monte has enough technique and speed to make him sound like he knows what he's doing when he rights a song.
