Monte Vista is such a peaceful Sims 3 world (so I ruined it)

Monte Vista was one of the later store worlds released for The Sims 3 so because of that, I've very rarely played there.
So I decided to make a sim and explore the peaceful, slow life that Monte Vista has to offer. This is The Sims 3 though so, of course, nothing is as peaceful as it seems.

That meteor i swear, a while back i was like oh i’ve played since the game came out and never seen a meteor. Only for a meteor to spawn literally the day after in my legacy save destroying my entire backyard and almost killing my heir

I love Monte Vista I bought it a while ago (the sale after the Easter sale this year) adn bought the worlds bundle wich includes MV and Hidden Springs, as someone who really enjoys the sims 2, I love Monte Vista and Roaring heights. Note: Many store worlds don't come with seasonal festivals and have to download them from the exchange.

Man this game is so old and I'm still discovering new fun and amazing things about it. Also, the amount of cultural references in this game is crazy! Compared to the sims 4, a lot of people from different places will feel represented in this game, I know it because I'm Egyptian and it made me so happy to play the world adventure EP and seeing my country, Representation matters, and it' beautifully done in the sims 3 :)

I’ve never really thought representation of my country was needed but thinking about it it’d be pretty fun and I can think of multiple fun silly quirks I think many people would enjoy, even those who have no interest in the country. In sims I always looked up to Egypt and thought it was a cool world but I never really dared going there because of the mummies. I did recently download the sims again though and I’ve decided I’m going to challenge myself and enter the tombs in Egypt and get kissed by a mummy

It’s funny though, I’m western so my culture isn’t that different, but some parts about the sims did really confuse me as a kid still, like school busses, snow days and extracurriculars. And the houses looking like that. And for some reason I would always give myself basic English last names too like Smith even though the names in my game weren’t even in English

(1) Before you buy a house at the start, there's a spy glass on the house when you select it. That lets you preview the house. Only appears in the beginning game screen, not in Edit Town etc. (2) Two-story houses are super expensive. It's cheaper to get a 150-tile house than a two-floor house with 60 and 60 per floor. If you ever want to cheaply add more levels, use the basement tool.

The game described this town as sunny so it was immediately lost interest in it and never looked back, but it really is cool! Might even get it for myself (as soon as I figure my meteor spam issue)

You can find some TS3 store content for free but so far I don’t think you can get the worlds, at least I haven’t had any success. If you have an EA account, it’s also your EA account. There’s a few free items on the store, I think a fitness outfit collection, holiday collections and celebrations of the sims items. You have to do a bit of digging but it’s there

Bought a dual pack Monte Vista and Hidden Springs but the Monte Vista code was already used and the package was resealed. I got Hidden Springs for free but this makes me wish I had Monte Vista as well.
