Hello! I need help with my montech air 100. The case fans won’t spin or light up and I checked the BIOS, do you know where the little 3 pin white one and the LED input one goes? Thank you.

it should be go, i think, on the rgb pin of your mobo if it haves them

@ yes I did! That is an rgb connector, it goes in the small 4 pin slot on your motherboard at the bottom, put it in the 3 leftmost pins

@@jakksondd5821 thanks for your reply. i just found out...the small white 3 pin connector on the fan wire connects to the SYS_FAN on the mobo it's got 4 pins, but the 3 pin connector can only connect one way. This is a DC Mode fan connector and it controls fan speed by changing voltage. You adjust dc fan speed in BIOS > HARDWARE MONITOR. hope it works when switched on for the first time tomorrow⚡

so the lights of the fan are connected to an argb hub in the case, ull have to connect that with sata and for the fans there should be a splitter, so u plug that into ur motherboard

where the fans integrated into the case cable system or do they need to be individually connected to the motherboard

The pwm connectors on all the fans plug into the fan hub. The ARGB connectors can be daisy chained together and plugged into the ARGB header on the motherboard. That way all the fans and motherboard lighting sync together.

This is a cool case, i like the mesh front. The colors and design match up nicely with that Asus mobo! ill keep an eye out for montech stuff

How did you get the argb fans to work? I connected all 4 fans to the hub and then the argb 3pin cable of the hub to the motherboard and it doesnt work for me.

Good question! I just tested this on the Montech Aircooler 210 and the RGB did not light up. You'll have to purchase an argb controller.

So I just built in this, the fans light up but aren’t spinning, connected sata to power and Argb cable to mobo… any ideas?

Argb only powers the lighting. You have to plug in the second pwm connection for the fans to spin.

@@chrisrobertson7532 isolate the cables from the hub they will all go to the fans but there will be one that’s argb and one that has a white head the white one will go into any system fan header and the argb one goes into the 3pin argb on your mobo

So does the fans even need an Rgb Header? I want to do a case swap but my Motherboard doesn't have an Rgb Header. As far as I know if you have a fan hub you don't even need one but I just wanted to doublecheck before I went and bought an adapter.

Can you explain what you had to connect from the cables from the pre installed fan headers? I saw you connected something and I’m not sure what, also one of my cables isn’t connect to the chip and I’m not sure which one. Anything helps thanks in advance!

I don't remember but what you can do is daisy chain the fans together. Use one fan header for the front intake and one header for exhaust and adjust the fan curves in the bios accordingly to get the proper positive air pressure.

How did you sync the fans with the motherboard?

You would have to connect all the RGB fans to the argb header on the motherboard. Then use software for the motherboard to govern the lighting.

A bit of a newbie question but I see at 6:41 you removed some of the casing to accommodate space for a GPU. How do I remove those metal strips if I've already installed the motherboard? I bought a custom build second hand and don't want to take everything apart if I don't have to
