An interesting thing that I noticed a while ago about Montenegrins is that they are among those with highest percentage of I2a1 haplogroup in their Y-DNA. Despite seen as one of the "youngest countries" in Europe (not so young if you are familiar with Medieval Balkan history) in reality the Montenegrins carry the "genes" and are descendants of the oldest inhabitants of Europe. ✌

I can confirm that people in former Yugoslavia are one of the tallest in the world. I come from a Bosnian family and I’m 185cm tall. All women in my family are between 175cm and 180cm and all men in my family are between 180cm and 195cm 😂 In Croatia and in Bosnia I feel average, in Austria I feel super tall. 😅 I guess in Serbia and in Montenegro I won’t feel tall either. The height of Montenegrins is directly related to haplogroup I2a, which is dominant in that country. You may find it interesting that the Scandinavians (Danes, Swedes, Norwegians) have a dominant I1 haplogroup, which means that Montenegrins and Scandinavians are distant relatives, that is why the I1 haplogroup separated from the I2a haplogroup at the end of the ice age, when your ancestors migrated to the north of Europe. It is interesting that Scandinavians and Montenegrins are the tallest people in Europe.

I want to say one statement,but withouth any rasistic or other intentions. About 1/4 of Montenegro are Albanian origin people,and other are Serb origin ones. Albanians are the one who are decreasing our avg height,bcs they are not that tall people. You can clearly see diference in height in Ulcinj (Albanian town) and for example Herceg Novi (Serbian town).

I am 6.8 Montenegrin(Serb),but I need to say that I saw more tall people in Belgrade where I live than in Montenegro. Montenegrins,Serbs and Bosnians are the tallest, but there are twi regions from which all those tall people origin. Those are Herzegovinia (part is in Bosnia,and other is in Montenegro) and Dalmatia. Here in Belgrade-Herzegovinians,Montenegrin and Dalmatian Serbs are the tallest and the most good looking ones.
