I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for...

I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes...

The way I look at things in general for Mexico as far as cities: 1) Monterrey is Mexico's engine. It's where stuff gets made. It's a city that works....much like the Midwestern USA...think the old Detroit or Chicago. The only difference is the mountains. Mexico City is like Washington DC and NYC combined. It's the equivalent to Manhattan and Washington DC's National Mall. Puebla is the Grand Dame of the "South". It is maybe like Atlanta. Merida is probably like Savannah GA. Cancun is like "Florida". Guadalajara is like Mexico's Silicon Valley... California Puerto Vallarta is maybe something like either Southern California or San Diego. Loc Cabis also fits this. Queretaro, that is maybe something like Seattle, Boise, Omaha, or Kansas City.. difficult to say. Tijuana, if it gets its crime rate under control, would maybe fit something like Seattle or Anchorage. Don't know. This is my take. I know it's not totally accurate. I do not even want this to be absolute. I know I am not perfect... though I have traveled extensively in Latin America. I am not a Mexican, and many apologies if I offended anyone.

I've never heard of this city to be a vacation destination, but a co-worker is there currently so I needed to see why they'd go there vs a beach area that is more commonly chosen. I have to say the natural and manmade landscape is just remarkable! The pricing of things just has me 🤯! That chocolate strawberry muffin that was 1.60 US$ would most likely be $8-$12 (depending on where in the US you are buying it). And $42.00 US per night for that Airbnb would be well over $100 a night in a US location.

I love your videos very much, and for several reasons. I must say your video did not showcase the various attractions Monterrey has to offer. Monterrey has many options for people to enjoy. Regards from Texas

Best video to understand the city, absolutely great but for people that want to understand the lifestyle I would recommend watching domingueros video, he shows how “rich kids” how to party and to the clubs which are great here

I will go there next month for work and will possibly stay for two months. What weather can I expect on September - November? Is it cold? Do I need thick jackets?
@JorgeSchz2004
@JorgeSchz2004 Жыл бұрын
Maybe, because between september and november the weather turns fresh and colder, so, maybe you will need them. January is the coldest month in Monterrey.

I’ve seen more of Monterrey in this video than others. Big beautiful city! Ive been visiting Tijuana a lot of times in the past year and it has more cons than pros. I’ll probably visit Monterrey next time I go on vacation. Does Monterrey have a red light district too just like Tijuana?
@osmaraguilar5501

We don't have a red light district in Monterrey, there are areas where you can find strip clubs in the downtown but it's so dangerous to go, it's not recommended. If you are looking for clubs or bars we have plenty in Barrio Antiguo, Centrito Valle or Tec Zone.

@@osmaraguilar5501 Well not anymore, right?! Whatever happened to Club 45 or the Red Light Ghost Town? I’ve been to Tijuana’s red light district many times which is supposed to be the most dangerous part of town. Many strip clubs even around the United States are dangerous too so I’m not that concerned. Just gotta be careful.

@@derekbuxton6626 There are many strip clubs in the Downtown of Monterrey, for both, straight and homosexual people, also we have bars, restaurant bars, discotecs and etc. Most of them are in the downtown but there are many more arround the city.

I'm from south Texas and I have some family from Monterrey but have never gotten to visit. I want to go one day! I'm curious about how it contrasts to a city like San Antonio or the valley. All have a similar climate I think.

The historical aspect of Monterrey is interesting but not grand...it was a small town historically compared to major cities like CDMX, Guadalajara, Queretaro and Pueblo. However, in the 20th century because it became a major industry town and today it's a financial hub as well. It is a very spread out city though, the skyscraper density is actually in the neighboring municipality of San Pedro.
