Look how light the 4 ride is compared to the alp 4 just a gentle tug up gets the 4 ride up ....any downsides to the 4 ride other than tank range? Do you have standard gearing?

Stock gearing. was thinking about changing got a 38 tooth might try on rear not sure 🤔 4Ride great Greenlane bike for us older gents Dunlop’s don’t like road work wear quickly but grip amazing of road 👍

The 4Ride seems to be a more suitable bike for green laning. I guess because of weight. But, isn't the 4Ride saddle too high? How tall are you?

5 ‘9 can get both feet down flat once you sit on the bike it drops down a few inches to old for an enduro bike 🤣suspension is really high On those bikes ,Montesa is much more manageable this bike will go anywhere you just gotta stay on it 🤣

@@muckytrails323 Ok, you are a bit taller than I am. I keep on changing my mind every week between the Alp 200 and the 4Ride. Once more, I had decided that the Alp 200 would be for me. Then, I saw this video. Again, I'm thinking ........ actually the 4Ride would be better. I'm aware of the difference in weight. I'm waiting for November when the new 2022 4Ride technical spec will be published and then decide. The new 2022 4Ride is called 4Ride S3 Enduro. Thanks

@@scipio1010 where you based welcome to try mine I think Montesa is the more capable Check out Toni bou wow can’t see the beta doing anything like that . Don’t know about s3, bought there gear lever for Montesa sheared of right on the weld Didn’t drop the bike on it either one minute it was working the next snapped Went back to original all good 👍 I’m based in South Wales . The engine in this bike is a peach 👌

​@@muckytrails323just a quick question please what sort of mileage range do you get on a full tank on 4ride and how quick can it go on roads does it do 70mph. I'm seriously thinking about getting the Honda myself for some greenlaning fun I'm 43 and a big enduro bike looks fun but I'm thinking the Honda a wiser choice for me

@@Shoemender79 does 50 miles on full tank I carry a litre under seat mine is in std gearing so sounds busy at 50 mph Did alter gearing for a while 38 t on back found tyres I use don’t like going that fast on on road anyway so went back to std gearing Suppose 11 on front 38 on back would be better for road use Pirelli mt 43 last the best on rd use Where we ride can be quite scary on enduro bikes I love that montesa 👍

Yes I think so When he gets round to it think he’ll go for the alp 200 bit smaller and lighter for him A swap would be good if anyone fancies the 350 👍

@@muckytrails323 i got a brand new alp 200 put it on eBay yesterday sold it within 6 hours or so, obviously too cheap I didn’t realise how difficult they are to get at the moment, I have the 2020 4 ride with e start and a 2016 same as yours to replace the beta I’m getting that tomorrow...I had the 2018 4 ride same as yours and I sold out for the beta but I just thought the 4 ride has more character and better built and the torque is nice just a case of getting the right gearing maybe, watching your mate struggle on the beta and that’s in the dry confirms it’s not ideal for those type of rides....I originally wanted the alp 4 and like the idea of them but I reckon 45 kg heavier than the 4 ride ...I had a medical issue and not fully confident hence I’m changing things around when really I just need to ride but it’s easier said ...the 4 ride I’m getting tomorrow is a bit rougher and less precious than my 2020 bike that is mint and probably the wrong bike for me I need something I can drop and not worry about ....so if your mate fancies 2020 4 ride with e start it’s about 6 k with 55 miles on it.

@@carlpearson6734 sounds good 4 ride would suit him better think he would have to sell the alp first tho he has a serow as well I shall tell him 👍

@@muckytrails323 my number is on the eBay advert ...it’s a brand new beta alp 200 still on eBay with deposit taken on the headline...serrow sounds interesting tell him to send me details of both bikes....ye never know
