As a Montessori teacher of many, many years (and I set up my own Bilingual Montessori school, and I am a teacher guide)... I had to pause this video to write a comment. You are already an amazing dad, communication and love are the cornerstones of raising amazing children (and parents!) I have recently subscribed to this channel because I think that she really gets the ethos and essence of Montessori (there are many so-called Montessori schools that don't get it). Remember, you are their first teacher, and you can open the world to them, because they love and trust you, and want to mimic you. However, they can teach you a lot too! Have you ever REALLY looked at a leaf or rock? How does it look, feel, smell etc.? Seeing the world with wonder is a gift they gift to us...if we accept it. Even brushing your teeth can be an adventure! I wish you all good things. May you be the role model that your little one needs; and may you find healing by sharing the journey with someone seeing everything for the first time.

loved this video ! My daughter is 18 months old and I try to let her help whenever she wants to! she likes washing the dishes with and whipping the counter and many other things. people keep telling me she will be trouble in the future because I don't try to govern her so much and let her do whatever she wants as long as it's safe. but I go with what my heart tells me and what I think is better for my child

I grew up in Montessori and wanted to pass it on to our daughter, so this helps incredibly. As a military family, a lot of what's available is really far away. I'm also trilingual, so teaching our child a second language before two is something I've just started implementing. This video has been so so helpful and thank you for posting the playlist. ❤️🌹

I am so grateful for your channel. I have been a Montessori "teacher" (prefer the term 'directress', because observing and directing a child to follow their drive seems more appropriate) for many, many years (decades?!), and have trained Montessori teachers myself. You seem to have embraced the ethos and essence of Montessori more than so many so-called Montessori schools.

Hello! In my younger years, I was a certified Montessori Pre- Primary Teacher. I wish at that time we had these wonderful videos to watch and share with families. You do a wonderful job explaining Dr. Montessori’s philosophy and methodologies! I am going to share your videos with my adult children so that they can (hopefully) choose to raise their future children utilizing the Montessori methods! A suggestion for future video content would be to make one explaining the rationale and methods to grandparents and other interested family members. Thank you for what you do! I love your content and delivery! ❤️👍

Finding your channel a few months ago inspired me to completely change my way of thinking in terms of parenting. I have no children yet (we'll be getting to that soon hopefully) but after learning about the montessori method and watching your whole montessori at home playlist, I can't imagine using any other parenting style. I personally love how it fits with respectful parenting. I've also introduced my partner to montessori, and he is now on board with using this method when we do have kids. Finding this method now makes us very lucky, as we can implement it from the start rather than having another style already in place, and having to change everything. We also have a relatively blank canvas when it comes to our space as we have only recently bought and moved into our house. Your videos are my "go to" resources for everything montessori and even if I have questions at the beginning of each vid, you've usually answered them all by the end. Looking forward to even more fabulous content in the future. 🙂 X

My daughter is 6 months old and she has been very active since 2 weeks old. I have noticed she has learned to do things on her own without me teaching them or telling her things. I came across Montessori and think this will fit perfectly with her but I didnt really know where to start. My home isnt super furnished or decorated just because I wanted my living space to be as safe for my daughter and I have also cleaned up a spare room to make it into her playroom since she can sit up on her own and is learning how to crawl. I honeslty think it is the perfect time to introduce Montessori style to her and would be something she would love since she is independent already. Thanks for the videos

i’ve learned about montessori but never tried it. i worked at a childcare center where the kids were ipad addicted and had terrible behaviors since they were always in a state of detoxing from the technology. i left after a kid kicked me in the nose. luckily i’m okay but that was the final straw. i see the kids in montessori training and environments and how much better they are behaved. i’ve applied to two montessori schools so hopefully i get into one and it’s a better experience

I want to use Montessori with my daughter, alongside other things. I dont have my daughter yet, but i am basically already doing it with other peoples children unknowingly. Especially the way you explained the talking to them and asking them/answering questions about things even when they cant speak.
