I love how the room is just for her and not just aesthetic if you know what I mean? I’ve noticed that a lot of nurseries are parent driven!

This is just superb, I have been researching "best pillow to prevent teeth grinding" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Peysaiah Breathtaking Paramountcy - (do a google search ) ? It is a great exclusive product for discovering how to get rid of tmj or bruxing or tooth grinding minus the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my m8 got great results with it.

So I'm really new to Montissori. I have an almost 16 month old and I also have two older children. It's interesting that Montissori generally encourages staying away from fiction books until age 6! Both my boys can tell the difference between the real world and fantasy, but I have also very clearly explained this to them. At the end of each story, even bedtime story, we talk and reflect on the story. But thank you for explaining that philosophy, as I had seen other videos where they basically shame any fiction books 😫.

I know this is old but this is the age of my baby now and I love seeing other peoples Montessori inspired play areas, are you going to do an updated one soon? We have the same bus 🤣 it’s not overly annoying and loud or flashy like some of the newer Little People toys, so we love it. We’ve had it since my 3 year old was a baby.

Do you encourage her to have only one activity out at a time? I know you said that she keeps her toys on the play mat and that helps with organization (for her and mama! haha) but I'm curious about multiple toys. I have an extremely busy foster daughter (27mo) and she has a hard time sticking with one activity for even a solid 5 minutes. She loves reading, but aside from that, any other activity is over in no time. Thank you!
@HapaFamily5 жыл бұрын
I try to remind her, and I consistently model... but toddlers are busy little creatures! Lol. So it’s not always clean, and she’s very imaginative now at 2.5 years, so she often pulls out several toys at a time to combine them into one play activity she has invented. 🤷🏼♀️ I just try to do little mini cleanups throughout the day with her help, and one final cleanup after dinner before we head upstairs for the night. 👍🏻

Hi, Ashley, I’m a mom of a 11 mo baby and I’ve been watching your video since I was pregnant. Question: when your daughter’s playing with the toy(s), does she go one at a time? And how did you demonstrate her to always take the toys from the cabby to the floor to play with? My baby loves the shelf setting (ty for the shelf-rotation video), but he ends up playing with the toys standing by the cabby 😂

I love all you do...I so want to implement Montessori in my home. My daughter is 16 months and I don't know where to start. Any pointers
@HapaFamily5 жыл бұрын
The easiest thing you can do to begin implementing Montessori right away is to observe your daughter while she plays. See what interests and engages her, what she naturally gravitates toward, then provide her with opportunities to further explore those urges. As far as her play environment, you can start with decluttering a little. Set out only a few toys/activities at a time, and store the rest away to rotate at a later time. Perhaps most importantly, invite your daughter to participate in your daily activities - from doing laundry, to unloading the dishwasher, to even cooking with you (toddlers are great at stirring)! And you can help her to learn how to care for herself (washing her own hands, brushing hair/teeth, practice getting dressed). Set up her environment to make these things more accessible to her, with things like step stools and low-shelving.

You’re welcome! Unfortunately I don’t have a link to the EXACT white bookshelf in her playroom because my husband built it for her. I just added a few links in the video description box to some similar ones you can buy on Amazon, one that is wooden like ours and the other that is a more economical fabric sling style. But they are both front-facing just like in the video, which is the most important aspect! :)

I didn’t have a hard and fast timeline, just whenever she seemed ready and able to handle various materials. 🤷🏼♀️ Is pretty sure she at least had crayons by this point, although we didn’t have a dedicated art area yet at the time.

Posting a Q's on an older video I was watching: what's the classification of toys that you plan for/try to cover in a shelf?
@HapaFamily5 жыл бұрын
As of now, I generally try to have at least one of everything... a puzzle (because she loves them), a language skill activity, a pre-math skills activity, open-ended play (blocks, magnatiles, etc.), music, hand-eye coordination, practical life, etc... It doesn't always work out evenly, but that's my goal. :)
