There was a game called "Battle pit" from Dark June studios. It was a fight/shoot game. I played it in 2003, but couldn't find anything about it since then

strange that this game has a lot of midi files in folder but game never plays them

Yes, Montezooma has some midi files (maybe background music?), but it was muted, though I activated the background music option.
