I live in Tennessee now but I'm from riGht there in the 🦍Belly Of Da Beast🐗 6:10 the spot to the riGht. (Crimson walls with graffiti on it) That spot used to be called "Members Only" recently renamed "Boom Boom Room". Its on the WestSide of MurkGomery Alabama. Somebody got killed there not long ago. Sad to say this involved some people I know. Im praying for my city

Welcome back to Montgomery! The abandoned apartment complex at the beginning was abandoned because residents were moved to new government housing. edit: Similar to what you see at 6:20, but a little more modern. EDIT 2: These may have been commercial apartments, and not government ones.

That apartment complex at the beginning ... it's completely abandoned! It looks like it was built as singles apartments for rising young professionals back in the day but went Section 8 instead and the owner and the management company simply abandoned it while still collecting rent there. Scumbags!

I woke up to my old neighborhood on KZbin the place where a village raise it's family. Everybody new my folks and the streets were safe. I had to just pause it cause my school is not there and I know it's time to go back for a visit with my children and grand children. Wow what a difference time makes.

@@jaketoffen2454 compared to how it looks now it wasn’t bad at all growing up. I lived in the hood on erskine st. Mostly everyone worked the houses weren’t abandoned and the neighbors looked out for each other. I took a drive down my old hood about a week ago and it looked like war zone. Definitely not a place now where I would want to raise a child. Montgomery has some really nice areas though !

I see that the entire apartment complex at the beginning has been completely gutted after the residents were initially moved out... I've seen that before... These buildings get gradually emptied out, gutted, and then either torn completely down or built back up and returned to habitation as market rental apartments or even sold as market price condominiums... Nothing geared at low or fixed incomes, though...

I went to Montgomery Alabama February 2020. On a Atlanta school trip.. we drove to mont.. like 2 hours. Went to slave history museum downtown mont. me and few of the dudes we wanted some weed while in Alabama (only for like 4 hours then back to Atlanta) we walked across the street and black girl was working valet. I asked her and she txt her dude who was at ASU.. she told us go there . We met the dude at the dorms at ASU and it was ghetto. Selling weed and edibles door open don’t give a fuck. The bathrooms in the door hallway was filthy as fuck literally clogged, shit in them… We smoked on the mini football field bleachers outside the athletic building.. the rest of our school people had to come get us from ASU lol and I got blamed for running off. I’ll never forget Alabama!! I respect Alabama now! Connecticut boy in Alabama haha, great time l! Good weed I was satisfied.

Hi Charlie ! 👋 The public housing development at the beginning was a bit of a jolt ! I doubt that even ghosts and the monstrous "gods" of HP Lovecraft want to live there... I don't know how long ago they were abandoned, but things really decayed... I wonder why they weren't demolished ? And watching the rest of the video, I feel sorry for those homeowners who make the effort to take care of their houses and land while abandoned places abound, destroying any equity their homes that was created over the years...

My old neighborhood Northgate I lived in 1635 c Northgate drive 1992 until 1995 wow I live in South Florida now been here since 1997 my old neighborhood looks horrible but was a great place to grow up very close nit everyone looked out for each other not like it is today where you don't even know your neighbor

I was just there back in March to visit family. I see you rode through Gibbs village, it can get really rough there. It just so happed that you were there in the day time, but I understand that the police have to ride through there like 24/7
