Sounds fantastic, nice n chewy!. A good Rangemaster type pedal will send this into crunchy heaven. These old "budget amps" blow the modern boutique joints right out the water, especially considering the price!.

I have had many of the monkey ward amps. I have two now... one that looks like yours but mine has three dashboard lights on the top bent peice of chassis ... it's the forty watt version same tube compliment. Then I have the big brother. It's an eighty watt with 4 6L6gc. The big one has seperate bass and treble controls, two channels, four inputs... so you can patch the channels. Left channel I play bass on. It's almost as loud as a Marshall. I play it through a 4x12 cab and the other is hooked to the 2x15. I have EV speakers... the speaker breakup combined with amp breakup is absolutely astounding. They were made by Valco. I have lots of good tubes for them... I will die with them. I also love the Kalamazoo's especially the model reverb 12. Model 1 and 2 are also as good as any champ.

@@KenSilvers Wow seems like you awesome amps there, I'd love to hear the eighty watt with those EV speakers....The overdrive on these amps are great and like you said they can be very Marshall sounding when cranked!
