Doesn't head trauma contradict NPA's?

Excellent question, Joseph. I would say that NPA's are contraindicated with significant facial trauma but not necessarily all head trauma. There is always some gray zone there, but if the midface is stable and the nose appears grossly normal, we're OK with placing an NPA at MCHD.
