There was always a TV license in the UK. So it's nothing new. I guess they are just sending like a reminder :)

Oh is it 🙈 Because for the last 5 years when we rented a flat we never watched live TV (like BBC, ITV, etc, we only watched from streaming platform like Netflix, Disney, Prime, Apple), hence we thought it's new 🙈 Or probably back then TV license has been included in monthly rent 🤔

​​@@NoviePoetri if you don't watch live broadcast TV, you don't need a TV licence! So if you're only watching Netflix, Amazon prime ect you don't need to pay for a licence. Call the number on the TV licence and tell them you don't watch live TV. They should give you a refund..!

Please get a full refund for the tv license as you clearly do not use their services. They only send out reminders for those who clearly forget the implications if they get caught using the services.
