Beautiful makes! A coordinating tube top or cami under it can solve the modesty issue. I currently have 2 Singer machines. My newer one (Futura XL420) is also an embroidery machine that was a surprise purchase I didn't have a chance to research beforehand, & I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. 😆 It's VERY temperamental, but has some features that I do love. We have a love-hate-like-tolerate relationship, & it gets put in Time Out a lot. 😂 Don't buy one of these. My older machine is a Singer 7466 that I've had for over 20 years. She's a steady, faithful worker with a nice selection of decorative stitches. The only minus is that she doesn't have a button for needle down positioning, & it can be laborsome to have to use the hand wheel so much. I'm not in a rush to buy again, but I've eyed Baby Lock & Janome machines.

WOW! So, I’ll add *FUTURA* to my “do not buy” list! 😂😂 Thanks for sharing! I really appreciate the information. I used my Grandmother’s best Singer machine that she had for over years and it served me for almost 10! The older machines really got something good going on! 🥰💕

You could piece on some fabric into the arm holes to make it shallower and more wearable. Or wear a camisole. I machine wash and wear all my home sew clothes and they last for years. I mostly use quilting cotton for button up shirts because its cheaper and sturdier. Been seeing 45+ years and I currently have a Singer Heavy Duty 6700c. It cost around $375... I think. I do a lot of decorative stitching on stuff. Its taken a while to finally get the hang of drop bobbin tension. It was a compromise for me. Too poor to afford the Juju that I wanted.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely keep that in mind before I wear it again! 👌🏾 I’ve heard heavy duty is the best option for those who plan on sewing a lot and that they last for years. I’ll look that one up! Thanks for sharing! 💕

@allyssak.lifestyle I been thinking of replacing the motor on my Bernina with a more powerful one. Might do that with my heavy duty too Look for a machine with a metal frame. Necchi is a good brand.
