I had a blood cancer as a child and had a few bad reactions (infections in my port) but I still survived! I was part of a clinical trial that turned out to be beneficial for kids after me and me. Thank you for sharing your story and I truly hope that this clinical trial gives good results.

Prayers from central USA (MISSOURI) cancer does involve the entire family. Our 7 yr old granddaughter was diagnosed last month with a rare brain tumor so were learning the ins and outs of chemo and radiation treatments. Ellicia, Cohen and family…holding each of you up to our Lord for healing and strength. Our family has experienced 2 1/2 years of chemotherapy for our then 14 year old daughter. She is 33 now. I understand. I thought it challenging in every way; body, mind and spirit and we didn’t have Covid and lockdowns. You are a great mom. Know that you are so loved.

I just saw the video that you had made describing your son's cancer diagnosis...after I heard you talk about everything that he had been through, along with you and your family, I stopped in the middle and asked God to please heal your son...I asked it in the might name of his son, Jesus, and I will continue to pray for you all. I cant imagine the fear, worry, and every possible emotion that you have been through ( although I nearly lost my son, too) and I understand the change it brings to your life. I just stumbled across your channel and wanted to let you know how much I relate to Cohen’s story. My daughter was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 7. She went through chemo and major surgery on her leg. She has the same implant that Cohen has, except that hers can be lengthened, which we do every 6 weeks. She is now 11 and doing great! One thing that helped me so much, was talking with parents of other children going through treatment for Osteosarcoma. It’s such a rare disease and most people can’t relate to what you go through as a parent supporting your sick child. I am praying for you and Cohen and your family. Much love from Colorado💛🌼🌻

@@ElliciaJane1 my little boy is 6, he wakes in the night with pains, we have (until I stumbled across Cohen's story yesterday) put it down to growing pains. Reading up about osteosarcoma has put such a fear into me, I feel sick. He only ever gets pain in his left leg. I'm going to demand tests for him, I hope it's nothing but I wont rest until we know for sure!! May I ask how your daughter was diagnosed and how long it took? I'm fraught with worry... So pleased how well your daughter has come through this! So inspiring! I'm sure Cohen will have just as happy a outcome!

@@Him.Me.Q.and.P my daughter never complained of pain in her leg....I just noticed that she was limping slightly for about two weeks. I took her to see her pediatrician and they did an x-ray. They saw the tumor on her femur and were very concerned. They scheduled an appt for us at Children’s Hospital for the next day. At that appt, they did more x-rays and told us that they were pretty sure it was Osteosarcoma, but needed to do a biopsy to confirm the dx. So she had a biopsy the very next day, and determined that it was Osteosarcoma. I feel like we were very lucky to have caught it so quickly. Just know that Osteosarcoma is an extremely rare type of pediatric cancer and also know that the majority of kids who are diagnosed, are age 11 to 18. If you are concerned, you could make an appt with his pediatrician, just to be safe, and ask for an X-ray of his leg. It’s always good to be aware and check things out. This will also help to alleviate your anxiety about your son.
